OK, That Guy, are you saying that Kozlowski is going to play? I don't mean on special teams either. You always seem to want to say the opposite of what ever I say, like the Wynn thing. I have noticed lately you have been advocating getting rid of him. I already know what you are going to say. Your going to say, that you said, we can get rid of him, if we have a suitable replacement. You can say that about anybody. Originally, that is not what you were saying. Anyway, my point is why get an old tight end, that probably wont play, except on special teams. Buck Ortega, may not be a great blocker, but he can certainly get better. If not Buck Ortega, at least someone that is young and capable of improving, to help us in the future.

Don't underestimate the importance of a special teams vet. Plus, we don't really need more receivers right now. We have plenty of people who can catch the ball

I just want a guy who can block. Fauria is a bust if I've ever seen one.

My point is not whether or not we got a guy that can block or not, why get someone that old. Why not find someone young, that can help us later. I doubt this guy will play much.

he's probably replacing fauria, and he was probably brought back cause he's been here for two years and knows the place and the coaches are comfortable with him and think he can help them right now, whereas ortega would be a project. young guys of better talent would be better, but as for why koz, see above. if he'll play - that depends on our use of 2 TE sets and the severity of cooley's seperated shouler on a week to week basis.

we brought in young guys in ortega and robert johnson, but obviously, since koz is the one coming back, they think he's better right now and possibly that the other young guys they looked at weren't worth trying to coach up.

as for the other stuff, you really need to try reading more carefully. i've stated that we'd draft a DE in the firt round, which would be a replacement. I don't know why you think that's a contradiction.

To all those of you that suggest we take a great defensive lineman, or a CB in the first round of the draft, I want to to say that the Redskins need to get back to simply picking the best player available. During Gibbs first rain, anytime he was asked what kind of player we would pick in any round he would say "We are not good enough to pick a specific position, we will pick the best player available, in each round". Maybe this was not really his philosophy, maybe it was Bethards. What ever the case may be, thats what they need to do.
