So if Vick was to show up on the next episode of To Catch A Predator do you think the NFL should have to await until after his trail to suspend him?

There was enough evidence against him that he was indited and he's brought so much negative attention to himself, the Falcons, and the entire league that I can't believe neither his team nor the league has suspended him yet.

We dont know anything, can yall at least wait until the trial over with, before you convict him. If he did do it, well, he's buried his career and life, but if he hasn't then, let the case play out......... I've seen people on here say they hate Vick, thats a strong word, I can't see anyone hating a man that much unless its for reason, not concerning, football.

The Inditement means that some has said of can confirm that he had knowledge of this, but who's to say, that someone is crediable witness, and If Vick showed up on to catch a predator, we wouldn't be having this discussion.........Would we?

While I would like to agree with you, the evidence is just too overwhelming for an educated person to dismiss.
I understand he's "innocent until proven guilty", but that only applies to a court of law. From all the evidence that has been presented, he's guilty.

The league rightly suspended him because he was warned numerous times regarding his conduct. I wholeheartedly supported Pacman's suspension and from the way things turned out the NFL had legal rights to do what they did.

The league can't do anything because the allegations are just that, allegations. It needs proof that he knew of everything that went on in that house. That's how the world works. No one really cares about Vick's side of things and the defensive evidence he might present to prove his innocent. Everyone has already judged him guilty. It pains me to think we are no longer a society that believes in "innocent until proven guilty."

What the league is trying to do right now (ask him to take time off) is the right thing to do and the only legal recourse they have.

Everyone keeps saying wait till all the facts, wait for the trial, etc etc. I would agree with that but the player policy in place is grey and doesn't require that. I just don't find it fair that you can suspend pacman who hasn't been convicted of a damn thing (and there's a far better chance he gets off completely than Vick) yet wait for Vick to finish his trial. Goodell HAS to suspend him at this point. Not yet, wait till NFL security finishes their analysis then go off that. Even if he gives him a year that is easily defendable.

Devils Own: Benoit and Michael Vick. Bad comparison. Benoit himself got absolutely zero sympathy. He was a fucking monster and should enjoy his spot in hell. There was sympathy for his wife and son, not for him.

Saden, the league CAN do whatever they want with the new player policy if they give the league a black eye. I wonder who has a higher percentage of wins, the DA in Las Vegas or the feds. The feds have a 95% conviction rate.

Comparing Vick's current circumstance to that of a TCAP perp is quite a reach.


Let me make this even more simple for you:
1. People on TCAP have been entrapped with the assistance of the authorities.
2. They were lured under the guise of having sex with a minor.
3. Internet chat transcripts show their intent to have sex with a minor.
4. They showed up to a house wanting to have sex with a minor.
5. They were arrested before they have the opportunity to have sex with a minor.


Basically, they are caught the moment before they committed a crime by law enforcement and we have full knowledge of their intent to commit a crime. The evidence against them is so overwhelming it's near impossible for them to prove their innocence. We can therefore deduce their guilt and convict them for the intent to commit the crime with the support of all the evidence. I can't say the same about Vick and the case against him.

Well I think the Commish should go by the new NFL Personal Conduct Policy of the NFL, if the circumstances call for suspension under the NFL PC Policy then suspend him and theres no need to wait for a trial.

The feds do cherrypick cases, so Vick seems screwed. But why is the state bringing charges now? This seems a bit hard for me to take, that Mike Vick is so involved in dogfighting. At the same time, the house was only $34,000 so it's entirely plausible that he gave that to a relative to get a business started. But involved in the day to day, pulling strings like that on an illegal enterprise? Really? Is the enemy dogfighting or Mike Vick? Is Mike Vick that big of an idiot? Perhaps, but I'm going to go with the presumption of innocence and hope that this unparalleled athlete didn't just go throw his football career away over dogfighting in Southern Virginia in his offseason. If so, he deserves it, but it's just a bit hard for me to take it as fact right now.

Devil's Own: I will fight my own fight. Take an extra twenty seconds each post to find a way to spell check your posts. People will take you a bit more seriously if your sentences are somewhat coherent. A few misspelled words from time to time happen, grammatical mistakes happen, but every sentence you post has about three of each.

I don't need anyone to fight my fights for me. I just hate when I see ignorance spouted out all of the board. Don't believe Vick should be suspended yet, fine. I can totally see that position. While I don't agree since the precedent has already been set with other players suspended before their legal case concluded. As I've said before, the Feds don't fuck around. If you've been indicted by them, you've done something wrong.

As far as video of Vick, rumor has it they have him on video. There was a video on dog fighting done about two or three years ago that was shown on one of the ESPN shows. They had to blur everyone's faces, etc since they obviously wouldn't sign waivers like the trash you find on Judge Judy and talk shows. Rumor has it Vick was right up front yelling and cheering. Is that solid, nope not yet.

Regardless of what goes on, Vick's property was used for dog fighting. Ownership accounts for a lot in this country, and definitely in Virginia. If I fall down and break my arm coming out of your double wide, you are responsible. If you throw a big party, I get drunk and drive home, you can be held responsible [hate that law by the way]. Vick is definitely guilty of at least a few things, and this will hang a black cloud over the Falcons all season. EVEN if the NFL doesn't suspend him, I can't see Arthur Blank letting him play. This will go deeper than people harassing the Falcons. People might start boycotting Home Depot, having protests outside, etc.

I'll admit, I'm a huge animal lover. With that said, I absolutely hate what PETA does. I understand their point, though it's a bit too extreme in many cases. They just go about doing everything the wrong way. The human society is more what I like to see. All of these organizations have a strong infrastructure which will find ways to hurt Arthur Blank financially because of this fiasco. Vick will not be playing for at least 8 games this season one way or another.

Woah let's not start bringing race into this. And I'm not sure if I understand how hate equates to a racist word, and especially how hating someone is an admission of feeling inferior to them.

As far as Vick goes, I think his season, endorsments, and career in generally is over. Every day seems to bring more rumors and further evidence of his envolment.
