Same here, it was my carrot to get through this long day. |

[quote=tryfuhl;676650]ESPN already calling Dallas the SB winners.. missed who said it but one guy said 13 wins.. guy before him said best team in the NFL, etc

All the pain we go through right now hearing how Dallas is the next SB champs becomes a second Christmas when they get knocked out or don't make the play offs. It's like the silence is defening. :) I just want to call those people up and say...."hello, so when are you gunna talk about Dallas now that they screwed up and are out?" "Didn't you pick them to go all the way?" I'm happy to say it though, as long as they have Romo they won't go all the way. Romo is like our Campbell. They have both OL and DL in place but don't have a decent QB or WR. They might be at the top of our division next year since they have kept their team mostly in tact but that's part of their problem. |

I watch Sportscenter every day probably for the last 15 years. IMO they report the news I have never felt they favor a team or player over another. Now with that said they are going to focus on the more popular sports stories, teams and players. If you are tuning each day in hopes for the leading story to be about JC's development in voluntary workouts in March over Duke's tournament game it is not going to happen. If you want jaded team specific news for this area (DC) tune into CSN or MASN. |

Re: 2010 NFL Off-Season Rumors and Reports (Week 3)
As far as favoritism in the media..... I guess I'm wrong or out of line saying I think ESPN has a man crush on Dallas or that the Washington Post seems to love putting anything negative about the Skins or Dan Snyder in their paper?
If I ever wanted a more neutral media center I went to USA Today and read the paper. I used to go to the WP for all Redskins info up until about 4 yrs ago cause they had the most now I get all my info from the message boards. At least you get the positive stories along with the negative. It's pretty bad when fans of other teams who visit this site pretty regularly are more neutral and even keeled vs. some of the media outlets. I will say that I've pretty much stopped watching "Redskins Nation" though. I still can't get past Larry sucking up to Cerrato all last season and trying to be fake posititve, or maybe it's just me not liking Larry anymore. Are there not any extremely hot women announcers out there who could do the job he does? |

He is over the top postive, we could be 0-15 going into week 17 and he still be talking playoffs for the skins. |

Well, with Sims it's not like he's got a bunch of options on the table. If we'll have him, he's coming.
Porter's options are strangely limited as well. I'd imagine he'll choose Arizona, eventually. |

Now he's trying to find someone, anyone, to offer him a contract so he can drive the Cardinals' price up. |

SmootSmack, any insight into what the heck is going on with the 49ers and McCloughan? Seems like an odd time to fire your GM or leave as a GM and it is hard to get a sense of what is going down.

He's working through some unfortunate personal issues that have been building up for a while, and hit a major turning point this past week. I don't think he'll return to the 49ers, though I think he'll return to the NFL. In the meantime, former Redskin scout Trent Baalke takes over |

I don't think it's too far fetched if SF wants to nab one of the qb's but it is doubtful that bradford will last that long & looks like they might have luck getting clausen where they're picking. Only other thought is that maybe Suh is there & they want him. I'm not saying they'd make the deal st. up but they might if we threw in a later rnd. pick or they wanted someone that bad. |

I didn't see it so let me ask ..... were they talking about all teams and happened to mention JJ demanding a SB? or were did the whole JJ comment come out of no where? I ask cause I'm sure there are a lot of teams who's owners are demanding a lot like Houston, San Diego, and Tampa Bay. Some HC's are not on the bubble but could be.... Eagles, Patriots, and Titans. Here's another example of the love fest.... Redskins/Dallas game here in Washington and instead of having a half hour interview with DS we were tortured with a half hour interview with JJ about his team and the new stadium and his HC. Who the "F" cared. Run the stupid interview in Texas. I thought it was not appropriate. Do you think they ran a half hour interview with DS in Dallas? By the way that was Fox that did that I think. |

Every day a different team is profiled leading up to the draft. A couple of days ago I think it was San Fran, yesterday Carolina. Today Dallas. As for the Jones interview-national broadcast, two teams involved, one of them being Dallas, makes sense to have an interview with him. Also, as I've mentioned before the Redskins and Snyder are notoriously difficult in granting access/interviews. I know it's blasphemous to say this on a Redskins message board, but speaking strictly as a professional (not as a fan), Jerry Jones is very easy to work with. |

Joey Porter signs 3 year contract with Cardinals. Link to follow.

per adam schefter-Arizona gave LB Joey Porter a three-year, $17.5 million contract, with a max value of $24.5 million. Porter strikes again
