:) Campbell to Carolina for a 5th is the hot rumor of the moment by the way (again, just a rumor) |

Or just wait a little longer, as teams reshuffle after the draft, or some QB suffers a terrible injury in training camp, leaving their team QB-starved. |

what will you get for him being the backup? and wouldn't that depend on us not signing another one? |

Maybe Campbell should grow a mullet like Whitehurst, that should move his price up to a 4th rounder. LOL. |
Re: Is Campbell Officially Headed Out The Door?
If Campbell's able to find a team prepared to commit to him long term it could be something like a 4th and 5th, something like that
|

that would be very wise on our part. If a starting QB gets hurt, i think we could finangle a 2011 2nd rounder. Just as a hypothetical, I wonder if the Ravens would show any interest if Flacco got hurt? I'm sure Campbell would love play dodgeball with Zorn again. |

After all, he basically dodged the question when asked if JC was a franchise qb and instead went on a tangent praising his grit. Obviously, the answer was not "yes", which could only mean that it was "no". |

Thats why I hate local coaches show and the like. You'd think with all that praise he was going to be the next Peyton Manning. It's even worse with college coach shows. |

I'm not insulting his hair, I'm complimenting (sp?) it. The hair alone brings up the draft to a higher round pick. |

Get Google Chrome. Not only is a lot faster and easier to use then Firefox and IE, but it comes with a spell check. By the way you spelled complimenting correctly. Good thing though you didn't insult the hair or we would have had problems. Only hairstyle more powerful then Whitehurst "mullet" is the afro. Also this is a little known fact but after Ogden retired afro's were made illegal in the NFL. This was because a panel of judges determined afro's to be 10 times more powerful then performance enhancing drugs. It also explains why Cooley had to cut his afro. |
Re: Is Campbell Officially Headed Out The Door?
Dam a 5th round pick, I'd rather just keep him on our squad, and if by chance no one picks him up, go into the season as the #2, McNabb is not the healthiest QB. A stable #2 QB is worth more then that 5th rounder.
We need at least a 3rd rounder. Anything lower needs to be accompanied by another player or a pick for next year. |

Campbell to Carolina for a 5th is the hot rumor of the moment by the way (again, just a rumor)[/quote] Campbell met with Shanny and asked to be traded to a team where he could start. Carolina ALREADY has a starter, so how does that help him. The irony is that if Campbell wants to have a real chance to start he needs to go to a team like Cleveland. Or he could wait to see if Favre retires, then there is a possibility that the Vikings could want Campbell and might be willing to pay a 2nd or 3rd round pick in the month of August. |
Re: Is Campbell Officially Headed Out The Door?
Actually, from the rumor mill, it seems like John Fox does not like Matt Moore for whatever reason.

Panthers have only made a one year commitment to Moore. Campbell is a possible long-term option there. I can see him going for a 5th and maybe a 4th next year (or vice versa) to Carolina. If I were him, I wouldn't do it. But I know he likes the idea of playing down there. |

How much control does Fox have over personnel?

He played against a Vikings team that pulled Farve and a New Orleans team that was resting it's starters. However he did play very well against a Giants team that was fighting for its playoff life. He was average against New England and Tampa. Their QB situation may be more unsettled then I thought. I looked at that 98.5 rating and thought they had found their guy. The thing is they're not willing to pay as much as a QB needy team would. |

If Ben keeps on the same track off the field, they may need one sooner than later. |
Re: Is Campbell Officially Headed Out The Door?
The Skins simply do NOT need to rush into a trade. There is no deadline. Wait until AUGUST and somebody will be in need of a QB. Either a starter or backup will go down.
August will get a higher pick than right now. But I would not let Campbell go for less than a 3rd round pick. Play HARDBALL Shanny/Bruce. |

Except we miss out on this years draft. This is a so called "stacked" draft class so a 5th wouldn't hurt too too much and not to mention the potential 2011 lockout. This season is crucial for us with McNabbs age and with a miss this year we have a 35 (almost 36) year old QB come 2012 |

They would go with Sage and probably Jackson over JC. They definitely are not throwing us a 2nd for him. |

What about Jason Campbell for the Steelers's Willie Colon for RT?
|
Re: Is Campbell Officially Headed Out The Door?
I doubt the above will transpire, but I would do that deal in a second.
|
Re: Is Campbell Officially Headed Out The Door?
I think that we'd have to sweeten the deal up a bit.
