Dalton over Mallet
4 year starter vs 2 year starter Junior (Juniors historically are bust) Accuracy is better, though Mallet is much improved in this area Great intangibles. Won't have to worry about him working hard or partying all night Dalton isn't a statue Higher Floor Mallet over Dalton Huge arm Not a ginger Numbers against better competition Higher Ceiling Experience in Pro System
yeah that's basically where I am with this comparison, especially the ginger part :P I think if I had to make a choice though, I would take Mallett. He has a franchise qb's skill set imo. |
Are you planning on slipping ruffies to the Front Office with the first overall pick in 2012? Because unless you're prepared to break the law we won't get the first overall pick. The team that gets that first overall pick is going to hold onto that pick like it's air.
unless of course we trade for Oaklands first rounder and they completely implode (which they've done a lot) |
Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions
We're talking with the Raider supposedly. Not sure of the specifics but we'd get their 3rd rounder and 2012 1st rounder
ahhhhh dude, that would be incredible for us..SS talk them, help get that done. a 1st and 3rd?, wow that would be raider-like |

I say we get Carolina on the phone again and give them our #41 for their #1 in 2012. Probably a surefire way to get into the Luck lottery. |
Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions
My ideal Situation (not including if we can possibly trade)
41st - Dalton/Kaepernick 49th - Best Availabe Player on board at either NT, DE, C, RT, RG, RB. If Qb isnt there 41st - Best Availabe Player on board at either NT, DE, C, RT, RG, RB. 49th - Best Availabe Player on board at either NT, DE, C, RT, RG, RB. |

Pretty much. Most of the teams picking in top 5 are QB starved so there is no chance they are going to trade away Luck. This will be like when LeDouche James came out with Cleveland winning the lottery. Teams I think will be around #1 next year: 1) Panthers 2) Bengals (if palmer doesn't play) 3) Browns 4) Bills |

I can picture a team kidnapping kids of the GM's with these picks. "Give us the pick or the kid gets it." "Please, I can always make another kid. How often does a sure thing at QB come along?" ".......your Dad sucks." |
Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions
SS, any word on the redskins being interested in stanzi?
|
Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions
No more word than I heard yesterday, which is sure they're interested but probably won't go out of their way to get him
|
Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions
Again I dont see us drafting a QB unless its Mallett
|
Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions
I think he may have been but I'm not entirely sure really
Increasingly looking like we won't draft a QB in round 2 (which probably mean we'll draft 2, ha!) Heard even more people today, that I hadn't talked to before, mention Vince Young (and Hasselbeck though he's less likely) Paea may not be as likely in round 2 either today. My gut says we trade out of 41 and take Hudson/Wis at 49
I'm thinking we take OL/RB in the 2nd ADD VY and just start pounding the football! Also SS any word on McNabb? Steve Mariucci was saying he thinks we will keep him for 1 more season? |
Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions
Yeah, I don't think so. I really believe McNabb is gone. The two sides (redskins/mcnabb) may have had a difficult 2010 but they truly do respect each other too much to make McNabb just sit around

Any word of trade rumors on other teams? Like Carson Palmer or K Kolb? |
Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions

Agreed. The sad thing is, a 'thank you' always seems less sincere when you say it directly after someone else... Though I appreciate your hard work nonetheless. |
Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions
We at the Warpath are incredibly lucky to have SmootSmack. Always brings the best info and is too darn cute for his own good.
|
Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions
Um....thanks
|
Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions
they just wasted one of their 2nd rd picks on Jarvis Jenkins, another defensive player!:argue: what the hell, only Mallett is left.
