Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 2
Doesn't Banta-Cain play OLB? I think he's been mostly a backup during his time in NE, so if he came here to backup Orakpo or Kerrigan I'd be fine with that. Not sure how I'd feel about him starting at ILB though.

You know who else is still out there who was very high on our radar last year...Darren Sproles

He'd be the perfect compliment to Torain if Torain can stay healthy. But then again I want to see what we have in Helu, I think Helu could be next in the long line of running backs to have excellent seasons under Shanny. |
Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 2
are we still checking out Edwards after getting 3 WR's?
|
Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 2
sidney rice to sea hawks
|
Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 2
Steve Breaston to the Chiefs.
|
Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 2
Here are WR Sidney Rice's numbers with Seattle: fivr years up to $44 million including $18.5 million guaranteed.
|
Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 2
I'd be happier if we got steve breaston in lieu of any of the guys we got today.
|
Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 2
Pretty solid offense the Chiefs are putting together
Pretty solid offense the Chiefs are putting together
Cassel the big issue there now.
They're still a bit thin at WR. I like Jon Baldwin and think he will have a long productive NFL career, but they're still going to have Kevin Curtis in their rotation next year and Breaston/Bowe are at best adequate in their current roles. If Fitzgerald ends up there next year (2012) though...wow. I really like Tony Moeaki though. And the running game has a shot to be great again. |

Or a WR that's an upgrade like James Jones or Mike Sims-Walker? It seems like we just got camp bodies and didn't really improve at the position. |
Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 2
KC is building a squad and Edwards still available I wonder if we will actually bite
|
Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 2
I forgot all about Sims-Walker. Haven't heard anything on him
Colledge sounding like he may be headed to Arizona, though I still hear he's on our radar. Though not a priority |
Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 2
Jeez....do we have any OL guys as a priority?
Like a center to replace screen door Rabach. |
Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 2
Baas was the best C out there, and he's a Giant.
With that said, if all we wanted was a guy who was more capable than Rabach and could make linecalls, I don't know if Shaun O'Hara or Rich Seubert is going to draw much interest. |

Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 2
I heard Simms-Walker is working on an extension according to NFL Network.
|
Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 2
Harvey Dahl should be our number one target. He is a mean Alex Gibbs Gaurd. Davis is like Dockery not a shanny type of lineman. he is not on our radar. I would be very suprised is we signed him.

Exactly. People need to understand that OLineman in Shanny's offense are typically smaller, but faster OLine. Leonard Davis is real slow. Harvey may not fit, although he sure is an upgrade over montgomery. |

What about Justin Blalock?

What about Justin Blalock? He'd be a decent fit I think, but I haven't watched him play. Is he quick? |
Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 2
I hope we sign some wide receivers on Thursday. We need depth.
|
Shall we sign Leonard Davis to bolster the OL?
Not the ideal blocker for this type offense + he'd have to shed a few burgers. |

I was kidding about Davis. Should've had an emoticon. :yeahright Not much left out there to help the OL. |

dallas re signed Free

I heard that the plan is to sign every available free agent WR to a 1-year contract so that we could corner the market on them, then we trade them away at inflated values, amass a plehtora of 2nd, 3rd & 4th round picks so that we can then trade those for ... you guessed it ... Andrew Luck. |
Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 2
Both Justin and Harvey are from the Falcons. For that reason alone I say yes because they were an Alex Gibbs line up until last year. Gibbs is a long time assistant coach of Shannahan.
I like Harvey so much because of his nastiness. Sign them both and depress the Atlanta fans! |

Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 2
Bowe is a BEAST
|
Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 2
Bowe only adequate? Are we watching the same Dwayne Bowe trip?
Think so. He's a good route runner when he wants to be and I'd feel confident if he was my no. 1, but he's not a blazer and you have to throw him open at times.
I mean if Fitzgerald were to come over and Baldwin progresses, I think Bowe is the no. 3 there. And at that point, it's a great receiving corps. |

Wide Receivers? No. We need some Wide Outs for depth. |

Heard San Fran is going to release David Carr tomorrrow, according to NFLN. Should we bring him in and complete our roster full of backup qb's?

The way I see it, if you bring in a bunch of backup quarterbacks, one of 'em is bound to start. They can't all be bench riders can they? |
