The Iggles have figured out this Redskins defense, Haslett needs to do something otherwise this is going to be another blowout.

Cooley headed to the locker room....

Man, this is going about as badly as it possibly could. Crowd is totally out of it.

Re: The Gameday Thread: Philly at Washington

I'm I'll too. Bad. Call by the ref on the riffing the passer. Previous to that Grossman threw a pass to the TE who was being tackled prior to the ball getting to him. The bad calls and no calls are going to give the game to the Eagles. Not to mention all the holding I'm seeing the Eagles doing.

Uggh....nice run defense there guys.

Worst part of all... Is we are going to have to hear about the AWESOME EAGLES ALL WEEK until we play again.... Every minute of every ESPN show.
The interception wasn't a poor decision by Rex, but that throw to Cooley was. Nnamdi could have easily jarred that ball loose. Rex can't put his receiver in a spot like that
you are wrong. Throwing into double coverage (possibly triple) 40 yards down the field to a tight end is not a good decision.

My 35-14 Eagles prediction was way off. We're not gonna score 14.

Wow 14-0 that fast

And the Redskins are back to mediocrity.

Unbelievable.... who has the TERRIBLE tackling run defense??? The Eagles?? Huh??

You sure you don't mean the Redskins??

As bad as I've seen.... well besides the last time we played the Eagles at home of course.

I wonder if they'll scare more than 59 this time....? hmmmm

Again bad call TD. Knee was down. Who's paying the refs?

Re: The Gameday Thread: Philly at Washington

Turning game off, this is gonna get ugly, just as i called it.

The one bright spot that could come from this game is if grossman ****s up bad enough to get beck in there for the rest of the year.

Re: The Gameday Thread: Philly at Washington

Eagles know we can't pass so 9 guys will b in the box

SmootSmack 10-16-2011 01:42 PM

Defense is not living up to it's early season rankings so far. Feel free to put all the blame on Rex, but right now the D is a big reason we're the "same old Skins"

Field position-wise, it wasn't necessarily a bad choice if there wasn't that penalty. .

All started with that garbage roughing call on Vick.

Re: The Gameday Thread: Philly at Washington

Ok so howwill our offense respond when we get the ball. If we dont give our deffense sometime to rest they will get tired. Offense has to show up and earn their pay checks this week.

It would be nice to win one of these games just freaking once. Jesus. This is why a 1-4 team coming into our house at 3-1 was a 3 point favorite.

So far from what I see, we don't have to worry about Rex losing this one for us...

Vick is picking our D apart.

WilbursHomie 10-16-2011 01:43 PM

Well, this is not going as planned. Thought at least our D would come out swinging.

Don't tell Detroit that.... They have WRs that will go up after the ball.

Well you would expect your 6' 5" TE could out jump a whole bunch of small DBs.

It's good offensive game plan by Philly. They knew we'd be so paranoid about the big play, so they're taking everything we're giving them underneath the safeties.

Is there a high school coach in the DC area thats needs a job as a DC? All he has to do is not blitz every down.

Couldn't agree more. Just ONE TIME I want this to be a game where we don't have to think about "same old Skins". We were looking so good until that first TD drive by them. ALL a horrible set of events that made the game what it is now.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING LEARNED FROM LAST YEAR... NOTHING.

And this is after a full year to review the Eagles... AND A BYE WEEK! Absolutely TERRIBLE coaching by Haslett... period... I'm sorry.

He's like 6'2" of 6'3", not 6'5". Rex threw into triple coverage. Even though it was essentially a punt, it still was probably ill-advised.

Yup. I know I shouldn't think like this, but as soon as that was a penalty on us on the first drive and not intentional grounding, I pretty much figured this was not going to go well.

He's 6' 4", so I was off by one inch (giggity). I'm not justifying the decision of throwing the ball, but also pointing out that it was a catchable ball.

I sure hope they figure out that the C position is more important than the RG position and move Montgomery back. Putting Cook in the middle is dumb dumb dumb.

Plus, giving up the middle of the field to the Eagles is a recipe for disaster.
