I might just refer to Rackers as "Titty" from now on.

You mean Atlanta wants to dump him this soon? Guess he hasn't lived up to his contract signing. No wonder they are in talks with the Eagles about Samuels, and possibly be talking about drafting a CB.

Are the Falcons talking about cutting him? This article didn't make it sound like they would...

Gaffney for Robinson. Steal.

Mixed talk on it. Some are saying though that Robinson and/or Turner could be gone from Atlanta.

If I'm the Falcons I keep both
Would anyone be interested in Dunta Robinson?
Sure. I'd take Brent Grimes if Atlanta is giving away CBs.

Gaffney for Grimes!

Nevermind...looked up his salary. $10.281 mil this year.

Jabar for Dunta!

He's an Eagle Killer!

(I think that Maclin hit was with the shoulder and clean....maybe a tad high but not helmet-to-helmet. DeSean just got CRUSHED.)

He led with his helmet and it was most definitely high. Deserved the penalty and fine.

Maybe I just like it because it was against the Eagles. :D

Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency (and Trades) Tracker (Chapter III)

Would prefer a younger CB. BUT IF we get $18 million back, Dunta would help our secondary and wouldn't kill us money-wise. An older 30 yr old CB is only worth a couple of years, but by that point we hopefully would be able to draft / develop younger replacements..

he was hitting with his shoulder, when you lead with your shoulder your head is coming too as long as your a human. maclin went to his head side, its not like there can be a decision in that split of time. Thats why this rule is so hard to enforce, unless the defender blatenly spears with his head.

Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency (and Trades) Tracker (Chapter III)

If the Redskins trade Jabar Gaffney, then a player of value in return would be logical if Gaffney's value doesn't equal even that of a 7th round draft selection. Dunta Robinson is okay, but he's only had 5 INTs in 4 years.

And Jabar Gaffney has never had a 1,000 yard season in his 10 year career. What's your point?

Redskins have announced that they have signed Neil Rackers (which we all knew) and LB Jonathan Goff (who I thought had decided to go elsewhere...guess not)

If he is (or will be) healthy then Goff is a good signing.

According to that NFL article, Robinson's 5 mil is guaranteed this year so no way for them to really cut him.

Maybe he had some sort of fine print that gave him an out? Either way, I don't think the Falcons should let him walk

I love the Redskins signing Jonathan Goff. He is young and from what I remember he was a decent LB. the fact that he is only 26 helps.

Ooh boy! Steroids and pot! Quick, let's take Mike Orakpo in the supplemental draft after we trade for Vontaze Burfict!

ditto. what i especially love is that ILB is a position that, 2 weeks ago, looked horrible. Perry Riley was our only guy worth mentioning signed.

In the past couple weeks, weve resigned fletcher, moved lorenzo over, drafted a great player in Robinson, and now we've signed robinson.

what looked like one of our weakest positions two weeks ago has been solidified and we've got good competition amongs the backups. Though he shows no sign of slowing down, Fletchers gonna hit a wall at somepoint and its nice to know we've got strong backups and young up and coming guys to groom.

Maybe, I was just going off this part.
It was reported earlier this offseason that Robinson passed on a $3 million option bonus and took a $1 base salary pay cut this year in order to guarantee his $5 million salary. So he's not going anywhere. (And apparently the Falcons might have cut him if he didn't make these changes.)
They have a ton of money tied up into CBs this coming season though. That's for sure.

Goff is actually a very good player when healthy.. Surprised the Giants gave up on him, although he also may not have wanted to go back.

He wants to come back, and they want him back. No rush at the moment. I'm actually not even sure he's cleared to play/practice yet anyway

why spend all that money on dunta robinson this year when we could have had him a couple years ago for cheaper? Didnt we pass on him in free agency?
