Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
Like this Schen guy knows that Garçon is worth21 million. IMO Garçon is the beneficiary of the market and Shanny got a WR with a good attitude and hunger to improve his game. The old Skins would have shelled out mucho dinero for VJax who has already made his name in SD. The only signing I do not like is the Merriweather signing but other than that I think they did the best they could.

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
Meriweather didn't shine with the Bears like the way he shined with the Patriots. I truly was skeptical about the Redskins signing him. I really don't think he's that good. But the fact that we attained decent young safeties like Tanard Jackson, Madieu Williams, and Cedric Griffin.

Not really FA news (yet) but the Radiers' Rolando McClain was just sentenced to 180 days in jail. Assault with a firearm.

Kenrick Ellis got 180 days too, but I think 70 are already served. Or something like that.

That doesn't really shock me at all. As soon as I heard he was being traded, I was positive it was going to be Seattle who went after him. I'm not really sure why, I guess because Pete Carroll always chases players who were good in college, but I just felt like he had Seattle written all over him. |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
I'm a bit surprised. First that he's already been traded twice in his career. And second that all Seattle had to give up was a conditional 7th

Yeah, that's very little to give up for a productive tight end. I didn't know this all happened because Schiano didn't like that he wasn't at OTA's. At first I thought it came out of the blue, but I guess there was reason for it. It seems like a lateral move to me. |

I think Greg Schiano wanted nothing to do with his attitude and lack of effort being displayed so got him out ASAP. He's also probably not worth the type of money he's signed for either. Also, didn't Seattle sign a TE(zach miller) to big money the year before? |

Was it a 2nd and rocky or a 1st and rocky? I'd do either trade, especially since we wasted that first on DT and MK in the 2nd round |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
Wow, I didn't think he sucked that bad. Is he injured or something?
He doesn't suck. He's just a dime-a-dozen linebacker on the back side of his career. He has zero upside and only a moderate "right now" value. He, or someone very much like him, will still be available in August. He's not even the Jabar Gafney of linebackers. |

Cut by an indoor football team of which you are a part owner. You would think one of the perks of ownership would be "You can't cut me". |

So we swapped firsts with them and give them rocky? Yeah I would have done that. We still would have had a first rounder and would have gotten an all pro LB. We picked Landry they got Greg Olsen. Not a huge loss and still worth the trade. Oh well past is the past this is all a bunch of coulda shoulda woulda's |

Sure his numbers deserve it, but the guy was simply a douche bag and should be denied on that alone. It would be one thing if he was a douche bag in private(like Darrell Green) but this guy went out of his way to shit on his teammates, coaches, and anybody else he could to make himself look better. I love the fact this clown never got a Super Bowl ring. Makes me feel giddy knowing this. :) |

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
I'm sure no one here really cares...but knowing what I've heard about TO "from the inside" and some of this is kind of public knowledge as well, TO is a fragile, fragile dude and I'm not sure he can really handle life without football. I'm not trying to make the Junior Seau leap...but it's kind of what I fear could happen

I care, I've never had the hate for T.O. that others here have, although I disagree with his attitude and penchant for being troublesome, but I respect his talent a lot. If he took the Seau route once he's completely done with football I'd feel bad. With that mouth of his I'm sure he could work his way into the media somewhere. He just needs to find a way to occupy himself. Besides with his bankruptcy problems I'm sure he could use the money. |
