I don't think he can since he did participate in training camp. Last year MKelly practices one day and they could not put him on pup and that's why they sent him to IR.

I could be wrong as I do know the league was talking about tweaking the pup and IR rules but I never heard the end result of those rule changes.

I agree, but apparently that is Danny Smiths fault???? People blamed Danny Smith for Suisham and Novak too. They were even worse when they left DC. That being said Danny Smith is horrible - but that has nothing to do with the fact that we havent had a guy who can kick since Lohmiller.

I would think a trade between the Lions and Skins would be forthcoming for Hightower wouldn't be totally out of the league of possibilities. The Lions are in dire need of a bona fide starting RB. Kevin Smith isn't going to get the job done as Jahvid Best is pretty much a bust. I wonder what kind of draft picks we could get. Maybe a 2nd or 3rd rounder(s)?
