That's amazing...keeping his left arm warmed up in case he needs it. I actually believe him too.
Someday, we're going to see a left-handed TD pass...probably on a scramble.
IMO if we saw this we would have to be up by 30pts. |

I imagine the Skins being down 21 at halftime. RG3 and the team come out second half. Griffin tears off the sleeve and announces to the world "I'm really not right handed!" The Skins proceed to have a better quarter of football than Doug Williams in SB XXII. Skins win by 14, easily. :) |
Re: Kudos to RG III
Bob Griffin said (regarding his left arm)- "I can throw with it, just in case you’re wondering.”
Yep....we drafted Superman with the awesome socks. I'm happier than a three peckered billy goat in a Kentucky whore house. |
Re: Kudos to RG III
I would love to see him fake and throw a left handed pass, defenses would not know what to expect and be very confused.
|
Re: Kudos to RG III
At least Griffin was strong again.

Re: Kudos to RG III
I didn't see the game, but saw some highlights. RG3 was pressured by the Rams defense all game and still played well despite throwing an INT. As he adjusts to the speed of the game, Griffin III will only get better and better.

I can argue that he may already be adjusted to the speed of the nfl. It certainly looks like it in these first 2 games. He was the best Redskins player in both games. |

Based on these first two games, I would have to agree with you. He has made fewer mistakes than most of the veteran qbs and is in command of the #4 ranked offense in the league at the moment. His deep pass is already extremely accurate, he has wheels and most exciting of all he is going to get better and better because he's just a rookie. I believe that no matter how bad our defense plays we will always have a chance to win as long as he is healthy. We all saw it, he was about to do it on that last drive before the penalty. We're 4 points away from being 2-0 despite having the 28th ranked defense in the league. |

Saints and Packers sucked on D as well and both made the playoffs. I'd rather be elite in one or two areas than just good all around. Giants had no running game and a crappy secondary, but they rushed the hell out of the passer and could score through the air. |

Like on one play, when finnegan blitzed - in one sudden spin move, what almost was a clean shot at griffin was a clean whiff. |

PREACH BROTHER PREACH! The common denominator: quality QB play. |

Yes, and we finally have one. Take away the blocked punt, Robinson's drop or Morgan's boneheaded play and there's a good chance we win that game. We're headed in the right direction! |

After 2 games:
3 TD passes 2 rushing TD's 526 yards passing and rating 111.6 124 rushing yards How long did it take Grossman and Beck to do this? |

I usually try and keep it clean on here but..... NoShit! That guy is a freak. He will be better than most we have seen when it's all said and done. I also see a ring or three in his future. |
Re: Kudos to RG III
Just keep this in mind. No matter how good or bad our defense or record may be this year, it is going to be one hell of a fun ride every Sunday watching RG3 develop.
|
Re: Kudos to RG III
No question he's been solid. He missed a few things Sun. but every QB does. Very impressed with RG3 after two games.

My only convern is will he get the chance to stay in the same system, like the other top QB's have. |

The really good QBs, Brady being a perfect example here, can flourish in different systems/schemes based on the surrounding talent. The NE offense was run and shoot with Randy Moss, and has since changed pretty significantly with the best downfield targets being TEs Gronk and Hernandez. I think RGIII is definitely talented enough to adapt and flourish in just about any system/scheme, but my bigger concern is the quality of that system and the talent around him. |
Re: Kudos to RG III
was anyone else impressed w this play? plays starts at 9:52, the slowmo replay at 10:12. he's got a 6th sense, so patient, very impressive escape.

It was making me mad too - i had to stop watching it. lol If you look at the replay, pass interference could have been called on the deep pass attempt to robinson because the defender pulled his jersey when the ball was in the air. 9:10 |

Madden gonna talk alottle rg3 on sirius nfl rite now.
|
Well that lasted all of 10 seconds. Lol

Re: Kudos to RG III
I have to say, RGIII has exceeded even my supremely high expectations early on. I don't think his stats convey just how much he put the Redskins on his back against STL, and he nearly pulled off the victory. This guy is so much more than a skillful QB; the hits he was taking, the grittiness he displayed, and the fire he showed exemplified his stature as tge true leader of this offense. He already has more trust from his teammates than McNabb, Grossman, Campbell, Brunell, Ramsey, or the countless other QBs from the past 20 years had in this city; it's painfully clear from the body language of the other guys on the field. He truly is a special prospect. And to think...he's only 22 years old.
|
I enjoyed that so much more than madden. Haha.
The ball still hit him right on both hands. Perfectly-thrown ball.
That was a TD pass. No excuses.
I was not making an excuse for Robinson, I was just pointing out the contact that I noticed that could have been called. I said in a previous post that Robinson did not adjust to the ball in the air properly and that was the reason for the drop. |
What else does this kid have to do??? He carries us week in and week out, no doubt he's the ROY after that clutch 80 yard td run today!! Hail
|
Re: Kudos to RG III
ROY for sure, hell maybe even MVP.
