True, like I said we play great teams with our A game and bad teams with our C game. So it could be close, but every year we always have that one game where we just get destroyed, that could also be that game. (Oh and every year for the past 8 years we've played the eventual super bowl champion so Eagles, Ravens, Steelers, Falcons, we'll see what happens) |

Re: Around the NFL...Week 2 Style
im surprised more players do not get their hands stepped on after they are tackled. every time i see a player do one of those moves where they jump over the pile or a down player, i just watch and wait to see if they ever come down, spikes first on a guys hand.
they never do. not once. the play probably happens 15 times a game, thats roughly 120 opportunities per NFL week. in the 20 or so years of watching the NFL, out of literally thousands of chances, i have never once see a guy get his hand stepped on by a cleat. |

He is an attacking d-coordinator who also runs a 3-4, which basically sounds like Haslett in a nutshell, but I think he'd be a good fit here, provided he is willing to make adjustments if his game plan fails. |

Personally I think the NFL needs more evidence but lets remember that there was obviously something going on. The players aren't nearly as innocent as they claim to be. Yesterday Fred Davis was straight awesome to this rams fan that was handicapped, so Davis goes up to this young man and his parents and gives him a hug, autographs a shirt and gave him his gloves.. now that's big time! Very touching actually because kids parents started crying, anyway just wanted to share because we get so wrapped up in the game instead of the actual people they can be.
Awesome story. |
Re: Around the NFL...Week 2 Style
Looks like Willie Smith will be starting for the Raiders, maybe he'll play well enough that Khalif Barnes will lose his job.
Briefly: Offensive right tackle Khalif Barnes will be out an unknown length of time with a groin injury. Willie Smith, who has been with the team a little more than two weeks, probably will start in his place Sunday. ... Oakland made three glaring mistakes on one Miami punt in the third quarter. Phillip Adams fielded it at his 2 instead of letting the ball go into the end zone. Meanwhile, the Raiders were flagged for both holding (accepted) and an illegal block in the back (declined). I without a doubt do not believe any testimony from Greg Williams. Certainly not at this point and under these circumstances. Even if Gregg Williams does get another job in the NFL after this, he's signed his death warrant with players because now they know he's a snitch and probably would not play for him. I know I wouldn't. Said it so long ago and I'm saying it again. I'm so glad that clown never got our HC position. |

He will never coach in the NFL, which is why I think this is credible. In the end, if Payton, Loomis, and Williams have all accepted responsibility, why should the players get away with this? Vilma needs to own up to his mistake period. |
Again BS(to the NFL) , if Lee was paying attention he would have seen tate.
that's how i feel, he clearly did not "launch himself" because both of his feet were on the ground when he made contact (i believe this concept is known as bracing yourself). he clearly went low, aiming for the torso - not the head - and not too low, below the waist. his helmet grazed lee's facemask on the way up from lee's torso.
if that's the way they're calling it, go ahead and fine trent richardson for his hit on kurt coleman... bs indeed |

And smh calling the block a "crackback". The block was directly straight ahead, the Seahawk player ran alongside the Cowgirl, making contact, while crossing the field over 10 yards. How did the cowgirl FORGET the blocker was there? I think any head injury to the cowgirl is his head bouncing off the turf. |
