Joe Gibbs I was great. Joe Gibbs II was horrible. He traded Champ Bailey PLUS a 2nd rounder draft choice to Denver for Clinton Portis, who ran his mouth more than anybody I know. He traded a 3rd rounder for a QB that was going to be released, and then he traded two high picks to SF for a receiver who failed big time for the Redskins. All those picks could have been used to draft O-linemen, which we sorely needed.
You call 2 playoff appearances in 4 years horrible? |

Dude this is where keeping it real is about to go wrong. |
CP was def not a mistake. Champ wanted alot of money and we probably lost the value on the trade, CP was a factor in getting ST and CP carried us to almost all our wins in the Gibbs 2.0 era
CP was awesome. The guy throws on a wig and funny glasses for an interview n it really rubbed people the wrong way. I dont live in the DC area but i was always under the impression CP was much loved by his teammates and a real team player. Dude blocked like a bull and ran like a cheetah. |

Id be checking with Jim Harts agent asap. |
Re: Around the NFL...Week XIV Mode
The whole Larry Fitz thing just goes to show the vagaries of fortune in the NFL. You can be the right player in the wrong place and be denied a HOF career. Imagine Fitz with A. Rodgers or D. Brees or any competent QB.
It really is a shame for him. |
I think fans need to start a "Free Larry Fitz" campaign.
Larry shackled himself to that sinking ship the moment he signed a contract giving him a average of 15mil per year. Dont' think many teams are going to pony up that kind of dough for a WR. The big money is going to go to QBs, DL, OT, and everybody else secondary. |

Imagine if we had gotten Dan Marino who the Dolphins landed because ironically we showed them the year before that Woodley was not the QB they thought he was. Dolphins win that game and chances are the Fins dont draft Marino but stick with Woodley. Imagine Marino on those great Skins teams. Granted we got Green but still. Edit: we had Marino marked as our guy and the fins snatched him up rite in front of us. |
Re: Around the NFL...Week XIV Mode
Nick Eatman @nickeatman
WR Dez Bryant could be out for the rest of the season. Pending the results of a hand specialist, but his finger injury could require surgery That would be huge for the cowboys! |
Edit: duplicate post of information above.

Re: Around the NFL...Week XIV Mode
Bryant to IR
Grant Paulsen @granthpaulsen Wow. Huge loss. MT @richiewhitt: Confirmed: Dez Bryant has torn ligaments in his finger and will have season-ending surgery, placed on IR. |

Wow dez was balling lately!!

if he misses the next game, that would help my fantasy team

Jay cutler is having a pretty bad year IMO and he's always hurt. Bears are slipping
|
Re: Around the NFL...Week XIV Mode
looks like that one twitter feed might be wrong. Right now no one else is confirming that Dez is heading to IR.
|
Re: Around the NFL...Week XIV Mode
Nick Eatman @nickeatman
Just talked to Jason Garrett... he said its 50-50.. Said Bryant is going to see hand specialist right now. My gut tells me he won't be on IR This was posted just 21 minutes ago, I'd say that other twitter feed jumped the gun. |

Was he an unrestricted free agent? Or was he on someone's practice squad? |

He was on the Steelers briefly. When Big Ben came back they let Hoyer go

Here you are in free agency, and you have a coach who's blowing smoke up your ass about how he's going to use you in the offense and even goes as far as to sign you to a contract. Come season, he doesn't do anything he said he was when he was courting you in FA. I'd be pissed as well. At that with a very limited time in the NFL and you can see the frustration. JH should have just cut the guy or not signed him from the get go. Regardless, at 30 years old, my guess is this is his last stop in the NFL. Hope he saved his money. |

Harbaugh has made a lot of questionable moves this year. But he produces wins so until he fails can't say he has made many mistakes. |
