Re: Gays in the NFL. How Do You Really Feel?
I think it's a valid point, how can something be considered unnatural if it's prevelant behavior in nature itself? Relax, I'm not comparing people to animals, I'm just addressing the so called natural aspect of it.
In some species, its been theorized that homosexual behavior in females increases fertility. Homosexual behavor with males is generally one male trying to show dominance over a rival. There are no species in the animal kingdom where homosexual behavior is the primary activity performed by individual members of the specials. In other words, if you wanted to try to equate animal sexuality with that of humans, you'd refer to them as bi-sexual... although really theyre all heterosexuals who expirmented in college :) |
Re: Gays in the NFL. How Do You Really Feel?
Did Homer Simpson ever have sex with Nazis while eating pie in the locker room? Afterwards, did they eat their dead like zombies? Personally, I would be uncomfortable with that in my work place but am afraid if I said anything, I would accused of using hate speech by gay peacocks.

When told USA TODAY Sports had seen the video and he was in it, Brooks replied, "I don't remember that. I think if I made a video, I'd remember it." He was shown the video on an iPhone. "Oh, that.
"it's normal way of life"?? It is the most common and, thus, prevalent in advertising, pop culture, literature and other media. Just because something is uncommon, does not mean it isn't "normal". You and a substantial number of individuals consider it abnormal for any number of a myriad of reasons. Personally, I find nothing abnormal about homosexual relationships.
Further, from basic human physiology, there is nothing abnormal about it. Some folks are vegitarians, some aren't.
Well if you think a man getting sodomized is normal then go for it! As for vegetarians, whether you eat meat or vegies, you still do both with your mouth because thats the normal way to eat, not with your butt. Of course, I guess by your definition of normal, eating veggies with your butt is normal, just not as common. |

It's not "normal" for you (or me) because you are a heterosexual. For a homosexual, it is normal. You have absolutely no control over who you are sexually attracted to. Whether it be brown, ugly, beautiful, skinny, fat, male, female or any other description. Even a child molesters couldn't stop being attracted to young children if they were so inclined. Also, the Packers is publicly owned. So yeah, they are free to discriminate all they want, but if it messes with those greenbacks they will change quickly and accordingly, and we can take the 49ers organization's immediate refutation of this clown's remarks as an acknowledgement that they know all too well this ain't going to go down nicely with its consumers.
Just to be clear, and before this thread gets locked: Your comment, to my comment, is exactly how i feel (minus the Packers ownership stuff because thats a scam). My whole point being that if youre an organization thats dumb enough to discriminate, go ahead and do so, but know that its at your own peril. The ultimate regulator is the American Consumer. Earlier this season i wondered if Goodell was smart or not when he decided to not remain mum, when Ayanbadejo spoke out in favor of gay marriage. Goodell supports players who speak out on political issues | ProFootballTalk Then Raven's center Matt Birk came out (pun?) with a traditional marriage arguement, and Goodell stayed quite. Staying quite on Birk's comments was a no-brainer and pulled the league out of the debate, which is perfect for times like right now. You know these types of comments are going to continue to happen. The gay marriage debate isnt going away anytime soon. And 5 years ago what Culliver said wouldnt have raised any eyebrows, and im sure things like it were said all the time at laughed about. But even with the eyebrows of today raising, the comments are going to continue. Goodell cant do anything about it, and on a pendulumtopic he cant take a stance either by chastising one view and praising the other. In retrospect he played it perfectly. |

Re: Gays in the NFL. How Do You Really Feel?
I think the easiest way to solve the problem is let the gays have their own shower and locker rooms. And the strait men have their own. That way both strait men and gays have their rights intact. If a gay wants to use the strait locker room or shower, he is not allowed. And if a strait man (he wouldn't want to) wants to use the gay locker room or shower, he is not allowed. No different than separating men from women. Equal rights for all...

I'm a straight man. But under your system, I would intentionally use the gay locker room as an act of defiance against injustice. What you suggest is "equal rights" actually is segregation. You do realize that as a society we left "separate but equal" in the dust as unjust quite some time ago? With all respect, in your thinking about gender you are a sad dinosaur. |

Why? You act is being gay is some freak show at the circus. A mutant out of X-men. These people are normal everyday joes (and janes) like you and me, they simply are attracted to people of the same sex. So no I don't give a shit if some dude I rooted for is gay, nor do I care to know because it's not really relevant to why I cheered for said player. |

Nowhere did I imply or say you wanted them kicked out. I said you were treating them as a separate gender and you are by wanting separate locker rooms for gays. Male/Female is a gender. Heterosexual/Homosexual is sexual preference. Being homosexual doesn't change your gender. Neither should it change your bathroom or locker room. |
