Congrats to the Baltimore Ravens and to their coaches, players, and fans....they showed us what it takes to be #1....

The biggest winner from tonight's Super Bowl. Joe Flacco's agent. $$$$$

MTK 02-03-2013 11:19 PM

Flacco is getting paid. I think it's time for his haters to eat some crow.

Flacco surprised me for sure. But also the Niners secondary looked like they never stepped on the plane. Also helps Flacco has a hell of a receiver in Boldin. Think that guy could make even the most average QB look good.

And this marked the last game of NFL football until the redskins super bowl season began.

Dude straight up balled in the post season. Very inconsistent in the regular season, but he got it done when it counted. He came up big from them in the 2nd half tonight with some key 3rd down completions.

People tend to get religion after committing heinous acts. Not surprised.

The only people who knows what really happened that night either are dead or aren't talking.

Things seemed to work out well for him. And there is no reason to keep to himself, nobody else does

Culliver committed 3 huge mistakes, I'm sure the aftermath of his comments and backlash affected the mental part of his play. He should stay in NO cause he will be crucified around here.

I was wondering about that myself. If all of that backlash had affected SF mentally. It sure seemed they weren't all there in the first half.

49ers shouldnt feel bad, theyhave a heck of a great young QB on their hands. I was very impressed with his throwing ability

Around here with a large gay community, they let him slide after comments (kind off) cause he plays for the Niners after 3 costly mistakes that just might change.

True that, San Fran was still young. But Justin Smith is 33 and essential to that team. Saw the difference the entire post season/end of the season when he was healthy they were winning and dominating on defense. When he was not the seahawks scored 40 plus and they allowed the Falcons to put up 300 yards of offense in the first half. Him coming back healthy and ready to play is essential, not sure how much age will be a factor though. But the Rams have some parts to make a great defense and if Seattle ever gets home field advantage...

Re: Ravens v. Niners Super Bowl Thread

Hope the Redskins copy what the Ravens did. Key underrated offseason moves that do not cost much money and great draft picks Jacoby Jones? Corey Graham? Mckinnie? Leach?. Not huge names but essential underrated players to their superbowl run. Stay away from the big names. Sign the key names.

Great game. Refs let them play. Crabtree had his arms out just as much as Smith. No one was complaining when Bowman had a questionable pass interference call with White 2 weeks a go. Just like the questionable running into the kicker call. Great comeback from the 49ers and an amazing goal line stand to win it.

Flacco had a Montana post season. No way around it. 2 of the hardest places to play and threw 11 touchdown passes and zero interceptions. That stretch of games has to be some of the best postseason football EVER. Key third down conversions, drive when they needed one. Just amazing. Much respect to Flacco, almost on the exact same level as Eli Manning. In fact in my opinion had a better postseason than Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, or Tom Brady ever had. Amazing stretch of 4 games.

skinsfaninok 02-03-2013 11:58 PM

That.last play was a great Nocall by the refs. Crabtree was all over that db and even pushed him to the ground.

Re: Ravens v. Niners Super Bowl Thread

The 3rd down conversion pass took huge balls when they were 1/2 yard short, that play earned him the MVP.

He's a big reason why I didn't want them to win. John is much more reserved (or so it seems), and Jim comes off like a huge douche bag. Very classless of him not to speak with CBS after the game. Also, I feel extra special knowing Randy Moss is 0-2 in the Super Bowl.....YYYYEEESS! **** that assclown too.

edit: add in douche bag bigot Culliver too, and no way I was pulling for the 49ers.

Re: Ravens v. Niners Super Bowl Thread

Very good Super Bowl. Not the best ever but definitely entertaining. If the power didn't go out, it would have been even better.

Flacco played like a top 5 QB tonight and for a half looked like the best super bowl QB I have ever seen.

If Baltimore recieves to start the game, we may be talking about the 49ers winning tonight.

These teams hated eachother. So many post play fights.

So glad Ed Reed, Suggs, Ngata, Boldin, Rice, Leach, Birk all got their much deserved rings (add Flacco, Jacoby, and Torrey to that now)

like donofriso said keep in mind how this team is built. Smart underrated FA signings. We've been doing that for the most part of late, but just for some of you fans that want us to go out and get a big name, these guys aren't Big names.

And once again the Redskins have beaten the super bowl champion and for the past 7 straight years we've played the eventual super bowl champ in the regular season.

I'm happy for Flacco, and that is about it. He has been the recipient of some unfair criticism in the past, and I am glad he finally was part of a team that was able to silence the critics.

Personally, I wanted the 49ers to win, mostly so Ray Lewis wouldn't go out with a win...but at least he is going out... I really cannot wait for Ray Lewis to go away. For someone who preaches TEAM, he sure comes across as a self-centered Jack@$$. Winning the Superbowl is the ultimate TEAM accomplishment in pro football, but he always seems to turn the attention to himself. Happy retirement Ray - maybe some Deer hunting in the future?

Hasn't every team in the NFC East played the eventual superbowl champions the past seven years? Except for the Giants because they actually won it?

Incould care less who won except that inreally don't want Carlos Rodgers/Rogers to get a ring or atleast not get anring before the Redskins do. So I'm excited the 49ers did not win.

True...not much of an "accomplishment".

Nor is beating the eventual superbowl champ. It doesn't mean much. They may have lost that one game, but they had a much better season altogether, and obviously won the games that made a difference.

Last time I checked, it is the media all over Ray Lewis. Just like the media was all over Bettis when he retired (and it was ALL about him).

Well, I am glad you checked that last time; and BTW, Bettis and Lewis = Apples and Oranges.

If it weren't for the media, I guess no one would really know just how much of a self-centered hypocrite he really is... "my team, my teamates, god, faith, no weapon, I didn't kill anyone... hey watch me dance... it's all about me baby, do you see me, look...watch me come out of the tunnel...see ME?

Go, just GO away already.

No doubt he has been a good linebacker for many years, I guess I am just tired of it and this last year seems ever-so tiresome.
