If Seattle's offense hadn't scored a point... Seattle still wins 9 to 8.
They win 16-8 with no offense. There was a kickoff return for a TD and an int for a TD plus the safety. As for Denver, they are signing everyone with low first year cap numbers. They are banking on the cap rising in the next few years to make these contracts work. Same as the Saints with Byrd. That contract averages 9 mil per year but only holds something like a 4 mil cap hit this year. All of those contracts are heavily backloaded. |
Little confused as to why we didn't go after Golden Tate. Maybe he and Roberts are the same guy. But every time I watched a Seattle game, Tate was making a play on teams or catching the ball. 13 million guarenteed. Can't believe Seattle sent him packing.
That's a lot of money for their receivers and QB. Better find a way to sign their dlinemen and fix that Oline. |

Denvers defense was great in the playoffs before the Super Bowl. Should be interesting to see if they got better. I doubt it. |
Who remembers the Eagle's "Dream Team"?
The only difference there is that this team has Peyton Manning at the helm, the "Dream Team" was a bunch of overpriced names in a THIN free agent market that year, and Mike Vick was at the helm. Completely different. I could see the Broncos rolling past the 72 dolphins record this upcoming year. The guys that they have signed are all good quality players, good quality personalities, and they must care about winning. Everyone knows what is on the line, and I think Peyton retires after this year with an undefeated season and SB, thus etching his name into the granite as the greatest qb of all time. Love the Broncos moves, wish the skins would make some............ (Im also glad that Ware is out of the division, the Cowboys are weaker, and I think the eagles are about to crash back down from the clouds this year. Perfect season for RG3 to find his lost mojo.) |

So Josh McCown is now the starter in Tampa? I wonder if he's going to be able play at the level he did in Chicago? But good for him. Good to see him get his chance.

Joel Corry @corryjoel 10m
Jairus Byrd's 6-year, $54M deal has $26.3M in guarantees. His 2014 cap number is $3.5M. He gets $27.9M in the first three years. They must have backloaded the hell outta that. #wecouldahadbyrdforriley |

1 year 12 million
How did they get him on a one year deal, but the Broncos had to pay Talib a boat load of money... I do not understand. Based on last year and how Revis was playing toward the end... The Pats won that battle. |

Re: NFL Free Agents Signings Thread
When Revis signs another 12 million dollar contract next year, with another team, my guess is they will get as high as a 3rd round compensatory pick. They are geniuses.

Unless they franchise tag him. I have a feeling you'll be hearing him bitch and complain about his contract about mid-way through the season. |

Cleveland's free agency board. No surprise to see Sexy Rexy up there with Kyle in Cleveland.

Revis continues to bet on himself and is winning every year.
He is going to make enough money to literally but Revis Island in the Carribean some where. |

According to a Raiders source Mark Davis pulled plug on Saffold deal. Could have had surgery and been ready for training camp. Mark said no Don't blame them. Saved themselves some coin. |
