Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...
We will stomp Tampa. Thus gaining confidence, we will win 6 out of 7 and contend for a wild card.

Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...
That's because it doesn't matter. We are 3-6 and looking ahead till the off-season. We are done for in terms of the playoffs this year so that's why there isn't any "talk" so to speak.
What i was thinking. It is a critical game as far as finding out about our prep during the bye, RG-3 , but as it pertains to the season...well seasons over. |

We might even make up a few new ones. |

Playbook???? What is that??? |
Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...
I really like that the players are sticking up for RG3. I'm sure that it will help him. Desean Jackson may be the best free agent acquisition I have seen the Redskins get.
I hope this helps Roberts confidence and translates into him playing well and leading this team to some W's. |

Fed Ex is not a home field advantage so I could see us losing this game. |

If an average team like this can go into the home of one of the NFL's best teams and take care of business I don't think home field advantage should matter. Only way we lose this game is if things hit rock bottom over the bye, I honestly don't feel like this game should be close. |

We just lost to a team with a rookie QB, with no wr's, no TE and no rb. I think this will be a close game that can go either way. But I hope you're right, a Jacksonville type of game would be nice. |

None...

Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...
For all the doubters, these team is at it's healthiest since week week 1 (missing Orakpo and Hall). Got Bowen, Thomas and Hankerson back. If they play D and RGIII starts to play like his old self, I say
Watch out. They are not as bad a team as some of you claim. |

I am a huge fan of Hank because he is a Hurriskin, but Lets be honest he hasnt exactly set the world on fire. Many even questioned his making the team in the offseason. I dont know, maybe my koolaid is just old, but even if we blow the barn doors off of TB I see 2-4 more "winnable" (a close relative of "losable"), games left on our schedule imo. Leaving us at best 7-9. I really just want to know that we have a QB, and a HC that I can rely on going into next year. We have cap room, and our full compliment of draft picks to add some oline/defense in the offseason. This upcoming free agency/draft is one of the more crucial in recent history imo. |

It's the NFL. We have 7 winnable games left on the schedule.

I can acceptt losing to a bum ass team like the Bucs......but I can't accept the Redskins not showing up to play.

Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...
My expectations are we suck and will continue to suck.
There's a lot of blame to go around......I think they just need to get a more younger team.......the offensive line needs to be rebuilt.....every lineman with the exception of Trent Williams is garbage.....Ryan Clark, while being a great leader, is as old as dirt.....we need two young safeties to partner with Amerson, and Breeland...I'm beginning to question trading RG3. We have to build a young team somehow.....

Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...
Last year 3-13 with a first place schedule. This year we are 3-7 with a 4th place schedule and arguably a very easy schedule overall. My expectation was to improve on last year in terms of play and wins and losses. At this juncture I my expectations are that I hope we can identify quality talent currently on the team and somehow accrue some more draft picks.

Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...
This team has many, many problems...but I believe there is only one thing to look at in the remaining games. Something will have to give in these final games this year between Gruden's offense and RGIII. Clearly RGIII is not thriving in Gruden's offense. We have all seen RGIII play well in the past, even though it was 2 years ago basically....and Snyder will not give up on him as quickly as he will give up on Gruden. If Gruden cannot tweak his offense to help RGIII play better, I believe Gruden will be let go...either after this season, or in the middle of next season.

Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...
If Snyder won't give up on Griffin, and he ends up being a bust. Then Snyder is just as bad as we think he is.

Snyder is as bad as we think. He should do like the character George Costanza on the Seinfeld show and try doing everything the opposite way that his gut tells him to do it. It worked for George. |

Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...
<sigh>
My expectations at this point are that I will spend my Sundays doing something other than watching the Skins. The pathetic nature of this team, top down, is mind numbing. We will not win at SF or Indy. We may get a win against one of our division foes - may! But the teams' play against Minnesota and TBay offer no hope for any more victories. Been a fan since '72, planned my Sundays around Skins football, was energized by Gibbs '80's teams. Now, two decades of constant losing with flashes of mediocrity have worn me down. Was hoping things would turn around so my 12 year-old son would "catch the fever," but losing hope for that as we are in the middle of Ravens country and last thing a middle school kid needs is one more reason to be picked on by his peers. Deeply, deeply depressed about the state of my fandom. |

I posted early on Sunday morning that I had never cared so little about a Redskins game in my 35 years of being a fan. Since I was 7 years old! It was not a poor sport, anger induced , rant. It was the truth. I literally have no passion whatsoever to root or care about this team anymore. I certainly would never root for another one, so its as if football and me are on the outs. Its so sad. |

Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...
I will say this about Griff - they are ripping him rite now for what he said in the post game yesterday. About it takes 11 guys, and that he was blaming everyone. He wasnt. If you listen to the question, it was "how is it you were so effective in 2012, but now you are not?" His answer "we were playing good teAm ball, we need all 11 guys to play well". I took it as him saying, it wasnt just me in 2012 - my teammates were the reason i was so successful. So basically in trying to be humble about his 2012 campaign the media has turned it into him saying that his 2014 campaign is because of his teammates. Lmao. I may not think Griff is a real good qb, but ive always defended him as a person. Dont think he is a diva or a bad kid...at all. Media really twisted that shit up.
