The best thing about this is I'm watching this in Baltimore.

We lost two ST leaders, add that to the fact that a bunch of the ST players will be gone Tuesday and those long returns don't really mean much in preseason. Ask Brandon Banks. Sent from my S6 Edge |

Bingo. The biggest take away from the first three games is how much our draft picks are contributing even from the later rounds. Really excited going forward. Getting deeper and younger and more talented each draft. McLovin! |

Is it me or does Matt Jones seem to be a bit more explosive than Alfred Morris??

Once Steve Smith went out our d has done better. Can we ask the other teams to leave their #1 receiver at home?

Did we watch the same first half? The first 43rd we scored was shit luck. Right place right time. Our secondary looked inept. We still can't tackle and gave up a 100 he return . Kirk threw an int on his 4th(?) play. Our rookies look good against other rookies. I agree moving forward that's a positive. But watching our first teams against their first teams......we looked like a 4-12 team. Our playcalling was odd, to say the least. I liked some things I saw...I would be remiss to say otherwise. But many more negatives than positives. |

And who was ahead at 1/2 time? Both starting squads. No Breeland, Kerrigan, DeSean Jackson. Yeah, we suck. Let's revisit this conversation at mid point of the season. |

I'm a Crowder fan...but let's not sit here and say he first td was a skillful planned play. It could have been and interception as much as it was a tipped td pass. It doesn't negate the fact that our special teams was total shit and our secondary was pure garbage. Watch the Smith td again. Watch their tight end bounce off people not getting tackled (but get brought back by a penalty) I'm not really excited for midway through the season, honestly, based on our first 2 quarters. |

SF i always took you for a pretty sensible guy based on your comments. But please stay away from the pre-season kool aid. Lol. Especially when its being mixed by a bunch of guys that may or may not even make the team. Who the hell cares what our record is? Our starters have been absolutely abused by three other teams starters so far. We have looked completely unprepared coming out in every game. You want to point to the fact that we were leading at halftime? Lets not forget that we had a damn lucky td catch, and that it was a miracle they didnt atleast get three before the half. I hope to God we are a good team this year, but Im sorry im seeing a team that is once again drafting in the top five. No doubt. |

He's faster. His cuts are more decisive and sharper. You aren't seeing things. Matt Jones is a better RB talent wise. |

Exactly. I'm not looking at score or record right now. Didn't we lead the league in a bunch of categories last pre season? Our first teams didn't look good. Offense started to look mediocre. But we couldn't run the ball. Looked like really bad/vanilla play calling. Special teams looked horrible. And defense wasn't spectacular either. Their passing game was moving at will. And if Smith wasn't kicked out, it would have been torture. He was scorching is. 95 yards on 4 catches? Come one, now. |
Re: Skins v Ravens - Sat night at 7:30
These rookies are amazing.

No pre season kool aid, I tend to see the positives. I bet you Jones, Crowder and Smith will see plenty of playing time and make a big impact. Our OL has 2 new starters getting used to playing with other. New corners/S, Culliver, Goldson, Jackson, no Breeland, Ihenacho is also like new since he was hurt last year. I said this team will make the playoffs. Laugh all you want. Oh yeah, our second stringers have looked better tha the opposition in 3 games, meaning we have some good young depth. |

Ill buy that we might be turning the ship around with SM and some of these recent draftpicks. But full steam ahead is not happening anytime soon bro. |
Re: Skins v Ravens - Sat night at 7:30
20-27 for KC is a good night, he had a terrible INT but he played solid.
Jones looks like a stud in the making. Ross is our 2015 PS WR star that we tend to get every PS |

Re: Skins v Ravens - Sat night at 7:30
its a romp. we've got the best JV squad ever.

Re: Skins v Ravens - Sat night at 7:30
A Morris, Jones, Thompson, 123 punch is going to be deadly during the regular season, they will pound the opposition defense till they wear out and use lots of clock time. We haven't seen it in pre season for a reason.

this was the most redeeming point for me. KC may very well be our starter for the year. He took one on the chin, and did it in stride. He went on to have a descent game. Not great...but descent. Good enough for an 8-8 team... I'm trying to be very realistic in my expectations for this team this year, because I have drank a TON of kool aid every other year. But, SF, to say this team is a playoff team...that's just setting yourself up for disappointment. I never go to the strip club and expect to meet my new girlfriend. Ya know? It's just a hot chick that wants my dollars....... |

I agree and if he can just give us like 25 tds and 15ints I believe we could compete. I just hope our d plays better |
Re: Skins v Ravens - Sat night at 7:30
Corey was interviewed by Doc after the game on 980.
He said the Ravens really came out to stop the run early on which he said is unexpected in preseason. He said they were expecting to go against a base defense but adjusted and took advantage of the passing lanes that opened up because they played the run. |
Re: Skins v Ravens - Sat night at 7:30
The team played as a team. We looked competent minus defending Steve Smith. We took ZERO sacks I believe. And no injuries.Isn't that what we want for a preseason game?

While I don't have us hosting the NFC title game yet, I also don't think we are the JV high school team that a lot of you all here see us as
|
Re: Skins v Ravens - Sat night at 7:30
i think once our offense gets in a rhythm, and kirk shows he can be consistent without turning it over consistently, we may be a lower middle of the pack team. 8-8. we still have a ton of deficiencies. if you watched this game and think we are a playoff team or contender, you need to put the kool aid down immediately and get a glass of water to sober up. coming from me, thats telling.... ::finishes last beer::
our youth is promising. but there are still a ton of holes to be filled (heh heh) I love that we showed a sign that we didnt roll over. our offense kept playing. the lack of tackling in the secondary is really concerning. and even more so, the 100+ yard return. I was also a fan of cobra kai kicking it into the endzone on every kickoff.....thats a new fad that id like to continue. basically the opposite of skinny jeans. i really hope those go away soon. |

Re: Skins v Ravens - Sat night at 7:30
7-9/8-8, give or take. i think the losses we have this year are closer than last year, though. i think that we show promise moving forward. i think we beat miami in week 1, though...........
