I'd see what Tennessee would want for David Cobb. New gm went out and got Murray and Henry...6th round pick would probably work
Agree. Just looking at the numbers, Tennessee will probably cut a fair RB. |
Re: Redskins Training Camp '16
let's see how our rbs do in this 3rd preseason game against starters for at least a full half. next man may step up
|
Re: Redskins Training Camp '16
I love having Greg Manusky on the coaching staff, he brings intensity to that defense.

Re: Redskins Training Camp '16
I wonder if the thoughts of Running backs are easy to find is going to come true...we are in bad shape right now at that position and look at Dallas..they may have one off the best backfields in many years. We need help in a hurry or the Defenses in this league are gonna pin there ears back on Cousins. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN..We will cut a lot of players at other positions who are better than any RB on this team ...

Whoever is in the backfield, our OL needs to step up their runblocking game. 2nd game was better than 1st, but I feel it's not enough. I hope Trent and Lavao can stay healthy, because Long and Ny got destroyed by the Jets. A great RB can make one play or two out of nothing, but nobody can be consistant if the holes are just not there... |

I am not sold on this defense yet. I think there are too many question marks at the DL, and getting a solid rush on the QB and stopping the run is crucial. |

Thanks, but I meant to ask what ratings outfit, like PFF or someone else. According to these ratings, three of our defensive starters are dirt. I don't believe that but somebody does. |

Our d-line and ILB's are the definition of slightly below average.

If that's how it works, I'd like him to post his ratings right after he gets laid. That way, I can feel a lot better about the defense. |

(that's subjective) Just that the depth chart doesn't look promising on the DL this year. At all. Personally, I don't need to see any ratings to know Golston shouldn't be starting on the DL. |

In this chart where would junior gallete be? Players like gallete, Cravens and Phillips (or fuller) aren't listed but will have significant roles. Gholsen is a fat run stuffer who may just play on first down against the run. That's why we weren't bringing pot roast back.... Schemes and sub packages play match ups just like offenses...specialized. Also, sum of the parts is important here...wil Compton has gotten a lot of praise in camp about his ability to qb the defense...Golsen and Baker have taken leadership roles within the defense...these things won't show up in ratings. Still, we have challenges...but I think we will def be improved. I look at the secondary and think it may be top 3 in the league. |

It's not just you. Anyone remember Darrell Green talking smack like this? Yeah, me neither. Just STFU and play football. I like the grit and attitude, and having a nasty streak in that position is a real plus, but let your play do the talking. The greatest players of all time don't thump their chests like this -- heck, Walter Payton described his best play as leveling a blitzing LB so his QB could unload a 70 yard bomb. I wish the league had more guys like that. |
Re: Redskins Training Camp '16
i'm sick of it but we're fans, imagine how his opponents will feel. keep on yapping if it helps your game and your team.

Re: Redskins Training Camp '16
As long as he plays well he can talk all he wants IMO

Patriots trade center Bryan Stork to Redskins - NFL.com
The Patriots traded their 2014 fourth-round draft pick to the Washington Redskins in exchange for a conditional draft pick, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a source informed of their deal. Rapoport reported earlier that the Patriots intended to cut the center. Stork, who was in the process of losing the starting job to 2015 undrafted free agent David Andrews, also got himself booted from a joint practice with the Chicago Bears last week for mixing it up with Bears linebacker Sam Acho. The Patriots have also thinned out their receiving corps. Rapoport added that New England is cutting veteran wide receiver Nate Washington on Wednesday.
Thoughts? . . . Re: Redskins Training Camp '16
cant hurt we needed C depth
|
Re: Redskins Training Camp '16
Young, on a rookie contract and can at least plug the hole so we don't have to draft one next year (hopefully).
|
Re: Redskins Training Camp '16
He was about to lose his starting job. I'm still ok with it, if it means that LeRib never snaps another ball.
|
Re: Redskins Training Camp '16
Be nice to be on the receiving end of someone getting their eyes opened by a team releasing them (I'm thinking Amerson really)
|

where can we see the current waiver order?

Re: Redskins Training Camp '16
Most of the time, IMO, when the Patriots let someone go, they either have nothing left as a player, or there are other issues with them. Not sure where Stork falls in that
|
Re: Redskins Training Camp '16
Update to my post: Stork has had four concussions within four years, and he is reportedly concerned about his long-term health.

It's pretty obvious what he is doing, my preference is to shut up and play football. He wants that CB heel title, as long as it's not a major, distraction I don't care. |

A hungry player is a dangerous one. He's playing for a new deal, I wouldn't be surprised to see DJ post career high numbers.
