Re: Redskins Mock Draft
Guys draft a QB and move on, what is drafting a 1st round WR going to do for a team with no QB? Plus we have been bit before on that... No thanks. I'd rather draft an Edge rusher over a WR.

I agree.I've always liked Colt and wanted him to get his chance, but it's just not gonna happen, like you said,no way he's staying healthy 16 games. If he starts the season I would bet he's injured before game 7 |

CM is also 32 years old, he's not the answer even for 1 season. JJ isn't either, It would be different if the team was openly tanking for Tua but they aren't. |

32 is not that old, especially for 1 season. To me his age has nothing to do with it.Are you forgetting Alex Smith is 34?:confused?: |

Well I would say Alex in 2017 yes, last year not so much, but that wasnt in the discussion. My point was there are reasons that Colt is not the answer{unless to your point we want to tank}but the age of 32 is not one of them, lets just say we can agree that Colt is not the answer |
Re: Redskins Mock Draft
I do not always agree with Kiper and McShay, but this gives a good idea of who is rated to be a first round pick

Re: Redskins Mock Draft
I would not be surprised if a pick the Redskins like is not available at #15, that they would make a trade with Chuckie (brother) in Oak and move down for extra picks.

Or New England, they have 12 picks including 6 in the first 3 rounds. If Hockenson is still there at #15 NE would probably want to trade up. |

A lot of chatter that ARZ is seriously considering Murray.

Re: Redskins Mock Draft
Don't remember where I saw it, might've been here or ESPN, but somebody made a good point. Tyler Murray has a great Eli Manning-like advantage built in as to his destination in the NFL, if he doesn't like the team he can force a trade by threatening to play baseball instead. Idk the kid enough to know if he'd do some shit like that but thought it was an interesting point.

What is he going to do if he falls down the draft board and playing baseball gets him a better rookie contract? Last I checked baseball has no salary cap, let alone rookie contracts based on draft position. |

Here’s the thing, he’s not going straight to the majors. Minor leaguers don’t make decent money until triple A and even then we’re talking about 10k per month. There’s no comparing the $$ he’ll get in the NFL vs baseball Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Depends where he ends up. The Oakland A's have already drafted him 9th overall in the 2018 draft and signed him to a deal that guarantees him at least 5 mil if he plays baseball. He'd have to fall pretty deep in the NFL draft to get lower than 5 mil. I don't think the scenario where he forces his playing destination will happen but never say never. |

https://twitter.com/john_keim/status/1095348727856984065
He is a pocket passer, the notion that he can't make NFL throws is absurd. This is a good evaluation on him. |

Re: Redskins Mock Draft
After reading this article, maybe Fitzpatrick might be a good 1 year stop gap until we know what Smith and/or out 2019 draft pick leave us.
The article is on the Bleacher report |

Davis and Reed are still there, they won't go TE in the 1st rd. It's going to be Murray or Jones folks, I'd bet on it |

Davis will be cut. And Reed may renegotiate contract or get cut. He is not worth $9.6 million. |

I don't think he'll be there either, but every single draft I've done using different draft boards he's been available. Hopefully fanspeak isn't just leading me on. |
Re: Redskins Mock Draft
The FA QB's do nothing for me, Fitz. Teddy . Tannehill...
I know some suggest Andy Dalton may be a possibility but I'd rather go Rookie and have JJ and Colt behind them. |
Re: Redskins Mock Draft
I'd prefer a rookie but wouldn't mind taking a flyer on Teddy. But the rest are a pass.
