Glad to see a players think beyond football. No need to play till the wheels fall off like Earl Campbell.
This...eff them. They tanked like a muthereffer for him. |

Re: Around the NFL: Training Camp 2019 edition
Andrew Luck can walk into any company in Silicon Valley and say I'm Andrew Luck and I went to Stanford. He will still make tons of money if he wants to.
The reactions by the colt fans at the game last night was extremely poor. Wow
I agree. Nobody should judge or say stupid shit about a player that retires because of health concerns or any reason. How fucking ignorant are fans that do not care the toll this sport takes on the human body. It is terrible how quickly fans forget about CTE and other serious health related issues former players endure. I am continually reminded of the Mike Webester’s story. Nobody helped him or gave fuck including $9billion NFL when he needed help. Now a player gets booed because he cares about his future health and family. With huge amount of concussions Jordan Reed has had I am surprised he has not retired. |
Re: Around the NFL: Training Camp 2019 edition
Despite the fact that they could have recouped $24.8 million from their former QB, the Colts already have reached a financial settlement with Andrew Luck in which they will not take back any of the money they are owed, league sources tell ESPN.

I dont think they should have gone after all of it, but I do think it sets bad precedent not to have both sides give a little. I think splitting the number would have been a fairer approach. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |

The guy who talked the most shit during my big money fantasy league is the one dropping Luck today. Love when that shit happens...of course he said “what a steal”...he will be playing Mitch Trubisky now. Fuck him

Re: Around the NFL: Training Camp 2019 edition
Pretty shocking that someone as good as Luck would call it quits. He was coming off a great year and walks away. You don't see that very often if ever. Pretty classless by the Colt fans.
|
Re: Around the NFL: Training Camp 2019 edition
Yeah as the Colts fans really were jerks. Could had applauded him and done him right!
|
Re: Around the NFL: Training Camp 2019 edition
Russell Wilson officially the best pick of that draft QB wise.

Re: Around the NFL: Training Camp 2019 edition
You know what somehow doesn’t get talked about enough in the NFL, Marcus Mariota has been a terrible qb. He started 13 games last year and threw 11 tds? Fuck him and fuck the titans.

What a disgrace the Colt fans were for booing Luck. He walked away from a half-billion dollars. Most pros would milk the contract for every dime they could. |

Aikman ripped Gottlieb a new asshole on this one. I know there's a lot of Aikman haters here due to his Cowboys days but I've never had an issue with him, and this is another feather in his cap IMO. |

I wouldn't be surprised if Luck comes back after taking a year or two off. At 31 he would still have plenty of ball left in him.

There's a crazy rumor that he will join his Dad's XFL in 2020 to boost ratings but I don't see that happening. |
Re: Around the NFL: Training Camp 2019 edition
The Colts fans are heartless bastards. They’ve had two elite, franchise-level QB in a row and over 2 decades with all the wins and touchdowns that go with that extreme talent.
Yet they boo a QB who gave his all for the team. I hope the Colts go into “Redskin Hell” by being a team that hovers around 5-7 wins perpetually. Never low enough to draft the top QB like they did with Luck, but never high enough to get to the playoffs. Indianapolis welcome to our nightmare! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Man, Jadeveon Clowney's situation in Houston makes our Trent situation look pretty tamed in comparison.

He does play the run pretty well also, but dude was this close to epic bust, finally showed his potential, but you'd think with teams having to worry about JJ he would be able to get more than 10 sacks |
He's been in the league a while now, never had 10 sacks.. He's a good player not great
And that's with the best pass rusher in the league on the other side. Def. agree he's not worth Trent Williams straight up. |
Re: Around the NFL: Training Camp 2019 edition
Clowney and the Texans can't agree on a contract so they want to trade him. To me it comes down to he thinks he's worth more than they're offering. It would be stupid to trade for him w/out having a new deal in place. He's going to leave 16 million on the table? I wouldn't. I'd play and try and get to free agency. Bet on yourself.
|
Re: Around the NFL: Training Camp 2019 edition
Stay away from Jadeveon Clowney. Not worth the money.
It would be a typical Bruce Allen pick up, a ton for money for a guy that has been inconsistent on the field and that only once in his career 5 year career that he has not missed games because of injuries. |
Re: Around the NFL: Training Camp 2019 edition
I'm not all in on trading for him, but man some are seriously underselling Clowney. I guess unless you have 20 sacks a year and never miss a snap you're just not good enough lol

Re: Around the NFL: Training Camp 2019 edition
We need to trade TW to Houston for a first round draft pick not a player. We will need to draft for the OL next year. Both first rounders will need to draft for the OL to build it up like we built up the DL.
Bruce Allen and Gruden are simply delusional when they claim TW will be playing for us this season. How many times does TW say he’ll never play here again before everyone believes him? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
