Re: The Playoff Thread
Actually, just going back to something that confused me. The play after they got the 1st down on the fake punt, did they actually try to run a hurry up play with their punt team still on the field? What was that about?
|
Re: The Playoff Thread
Cowboys are overrated…yesterday was example no 5789375785737
Ceedee lamb dropped balls…he is among the league leaders. He was a ghost, did nothing. Cowboys refuse to run the ball and Dak is a QB who can’t carry them. His numbers were trash. QBR was like twenty-some…jimmy g doubled his QBR Randy Gregory is a dumb undisciplined player…he had 3-4 penalties The Dallas Oline had all their starters and loss Having to face Bosa for half the game: they still gave up like 5-6 sacks and couldn’t run the ball. If Dallas was smart they would fire MacCarthy and hire Quinn. |

Lol yeah that was terrible and embarrassing (for them) |

Fuck Prescott, saying trash meant towards officials, his ass hurts.

He really is a fool for saying that on multiple fronts. 1. Officials did their job. It's a players responsibility to know the rules. If your center doesn't know that he can't spot the ball himself, that's on him! 2. You can't blame the officials for you playing like crap. You stank but, yeah, it's the officials fault you lost... :saywhat: 3. You're going to live to regret saying things like this in the heat of the moment after a game. A great QB would keep his mouth shut until he'd had time to look back at what happened, preferably on film. Too late now, it's out there, and every outlet is going to be criticising you for saying it. Plus, good luck with the officials being friendly next season (ever?). You just threw them under the bus. You really think it's OK to subject them to that abuse? Good luck walking that one back. And anyone else see McCarthy's face after every penalty? Looks like he was struggling to work out who to blame. You coach, it's you. Discipline starts at the top. |
I'll take Judge over McCarthy any day!
Judge was simply another HORRIBLE hire by Mara. Mara should fire himself at this point. If one of his parents were still alive he'd be sweeping the locker rooms. MacAdoo, Schmuck and Judge are the last 3 coaches of the NY Giants. Not even Snyder would hire 3 straight bums of that caliber. |
Re: The Playoff Thread
No Sandtrap. That’s another major plus from yesterday. Not surprised.
McCarthy is just not a good coach. A good friend who is a lifelong Packers fan reached out when Dallas hired him and said, “You’re very welcome. Best thing to happen to your team.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

This is all so wonderful. Now Dak makes a public ass of himself. Just beautiful. If WFT can't make the playoffs, this is definitely as entertaining an option as possible.

Re: The Playoff Thread
Looking at the Cowboys free agency status…they are fucked. They can’t even cut Zeke, Lawrence or T Smith to get relief.
Right now they are est 13 million over the cap. They could designate Cooper as a post June 1 and get 18 million in relief with a 2 mill dead cap. Key players up for free agency: Randy Gregory TE Dalton Schultz (he’s gonna get a massive contract, he’s good) WR Cedric Wilson WR mike Gallup LVE LG Conner Williams |
Re: The Playoff Thread
A couple of things I am thinking.
I think the false start called on TW on 4th and inches should have been an illegal formation. I think a false start requires the players to be set and he clearly never was in a set position. A penalty is a penalty but refs need to make the right call. More hook and ladder type plays please. There were two in the SF-Dal game. I love the rugby style plays get more of that in there. It adds excitement to an otherwise boring catch and run. Both 7th seeds showed they had no business in the playoffs. I like the idea of only the 1st seed getting a bye (a second seed is not worthy of that, you are no. 2 for a reason) but that was awful maybe it will be better next year. I think the AFC championship is next week with Bills vs KC. Titans might be the most underwhelming no. 1 seed I have ever seen and I think Cincy is exciting but still a year away even though they beat KC earlier in season. |

Still they are going to be up against the cap each year. There are a couple of other key defensive guys (K.Neal and the FS I think) who will likely follow Quin out of the door |

They are good but have too many holes to be considered a SB contender. Case in point GB is in just as bad as cap took the number 1 seed and all that despite not having a single starter play on oline for the entire season. Cowboys probably will win division again just because none of the other three teams have an even marginally adequate QB. If we end up improving the QB position we will be competitive with Dallas and should win division or at least compete for it. |

Based on 208 million…I use overthecap.com The NFL's salary cap for 2022 will rise to $208.2 million, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported, expanding by $25.7 million compared to this season. That is the maximum amount agreed upon by the NFL and NFL Players Association in May |

Yeah they will, but doesn’t solve the issue: underperforming players at high salaries They didn’t give themselves “outs”…except for Cooper who is pretty good still. Dak contract aside…Zeke, T Smith and Lawrence play has substantially slipped. Smith is done period…Zeke isn’t close to playing at a high level, he is simply a jag and 1 season away from being completely done. Lawrence is meh…fletcher Cox, john Allen is much better interior players in the east |

Like I said they are good team in a weak division but they are no SB contender to many holes and not enough quality. |
Re: The Playoff Thread
Both the Cowboys and Eagles were "flying high" after beating an injury and COVID riddled WFT twice down the stretch. They had a false sense of who they actually were going into the post season. I think a healthy WFT would have fared better than both those teams this weekend.
Hurts is holding that team back even more than Heinicke held back the WFT. Dallas might have more talent (debatable at every position other than QB), but they are an undisciplined bunch with a shitty leader. I have no fears going into next season. If RR and staff can upgrade the QB position, find a true #2 WR, and a solid MLB, WFT is the team to beat in my opinion. |

Re: The Playoff Thread
The Rams probably don't have a first rounder until who knows when, but now they've won at least one playoff game this year and last year. They've gone to the playoffs 4 times in the past 5 years, including a trip to the SB.
I think we need to make Seattle a Godfather offer and get Russ to DC. |
