Spurrier? Ha.
I'd rather have Doug Williams! |
Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over
So what do we think they're wearing tonight? I'm going with White on White.
|
Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over
I'm guessing all white too.
Buffalo wore blue last time we played them on the road. We wore the white-on-gold that game actually, but I'm expecting all white for preseason, nothing exciting until the regular season. |
Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over
Yeah. I'm not liking the Nike horsecollar on the jerseys. The "V" or Flywire section should've been dyed to match the rest of the collar. I thought that was the initial design. Maybe it was changed for all teams because of the varying fabrics used between the elastic and the Flywire didn't allow for a seamless color match (see Redskins "pink-colored" flywire).

Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over
So, we wore White on Gold for the Buffalo game. I know several of you guys here really liked it!
Its going to take me awhile to get used to that look though. I think I would like the look a bit more with the gold color was more "gold" than yellow. But, that's just me. Maybe the throw back gold pants with the white jerseys for away games. But, I also look at it like this: it's change, and change in Washington is always good (no pun intended...lol!) RGIII ushers in, what we hope, to be a new winning era in D.C. But, I have to say, the "butter fly" collar on the jerseys HAVE to go! To me, it looks like they didn't finish coloring the collars. Maybe if the bottom part was gold, it might look better? I dunno. I can get used to the white on gold/yellow, but those jerseys kind of annoy me. |
Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over
I think since everyone hates these collars so much, we'll see them gone next season. There's a ton of public hatred being voiced for these things and it's well-deserved.
OK, Nike, we know your technologically-superior collars are there now. We can't miss them. Now, make them blend in with the uniforms so your products don't look like ass. |
Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over
I don't mind the butterfly collars as you guys call them. At least on the Burgundy jerseys, they are all solid so you don't notice them. I just don't like the black shoes on the away uniforms with the gold/yellow pants. They should go more team colors... burgundy shoes or more yellow.

Yeah, the home jerseys are OK, but I would have rather had the collars all white than the butterfly collar. |
Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over
Our collar isn't as bad as some. The color looks much better than the Saints with the black collars. Looks like ^THAT GUY^.

Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over
seriously, need to put in a request to match the packers' format. (old style collar trim/border, but new flywire collar) keep it real
|
Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over
wait, do the packers have flywire in the collar?
http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/photo/2012-04/04/131506335_11n.jpg edit* no, no they don't New unis: Packers reject all changes - NFC North Blog - ESPN i thought all they did was request that the design on the collar remain the same in look and proportion (unlike the texans-same look/different proportion). i was wrong. |
Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over
have you noticed with the the striped socks we wear how every player wears them differently for example rg3 hardly had any burgundy at all on his and fletcher had a whole leg of it and they wear the stripes at various heights too whether it be by the calf or low by the ankle. I dont mind it, it shows individuality, just no sean taylor stripes haha loved those

Colts,...
colts had white collar/white jersey w reebok, now w nike. some teams have had white collars/white jerseys before (colts, cowboys, jets, 49ers). some teams have had color collar/white jersey (eagles=black collar, redskins=burgundy collar, dolphins=green collar)
basically, if your collar was not the same color as your jersey, it has been ruined by nike. most look stupid because of the horseshoe shape, but teams like the texans look stupid because the collar is so damn wide/thick/bold |
