I thought this was a proposal that would be voted on in May at the next meeting ?

The article clearly says that this has already passed.

The article says that the extra point proposal will be voted on in May.
I can think of a lot of things.
Get better O-Linemen.
Improve our tight ends.
Get backs that can block.

Obviously the roster isnt set yet but its not hard to figure out what he means.
Bumping this comment from last week. If we go with our three headed QB rotation next year, really hope we can focus on getting some protection for our QBs. Our QB/OL are part of problem but I'm just tired of watching the TE/RB completely flail on blocks. Every QB gets better w good protection.

There's tons of time left to fix things, but Gruden's talk about going with Chris Thompson as our 3rd down RB -- will kill our protection. Niles/Reed just can't pass protect. And relying on Moses coming back magically from a Lisfranc - is risky.

Ideal scenario would be to draft OL in middle rounds to develop, bring in 1-2 year FA vet RT to help Moses, and draft or get FA blocking TE/RB somewhere. Plenty of time for these moves.

Totally agree.

Early on SM said part of his GM philosophy was to identify his type of players and sign them earlier and cheaper before they hit free agency.

The signing of Paul signals that SM likes what he sees on tape and sees potential.

Paul did a really good job blocking down field last season but struggled severely blocking off the line of scrimmage. As a converted wide receiver, he will improve in pass protection with more time.

All that being said, a true dual threat TE would be awesome. Jay's offense flourished with that type of package in Cincy.

I just don't think an nfl athlete should be doing this, even in the offseason. Granted it looks very cool/scary but cool

Re: All things off season 2015.

I've been bungee jumping, it's pretty safe. The only problem could be if they mismeasure the rope -- as I understand it, they use different size ropes for different size people. Big 400lber will drop farther (smaller rope), small 90lber will not (longer rope).

Anyway, I agree in general these players mean too much for the franchise to do risky things, but then again -- they're only 20-something year olds. You only live once.

it's their life. unless it's written into their contract, have fun.

besides, it's not like losing roberts to injury would really make any kind of difference. he's, uh, not that good.

Unless you are a Buddhist, in which case you can bunjee jump lifetime after lifetime.

Check out the article on nfl.com about Kaepernick working with Warner. Wish RGIII was doing that. Same issues.
