Well given that you bring up Gus Frerotte in what seems to be every one of your posts, I would say that you have too strong emotions for an average QB.

I will guarantee you that a couple of years from now, I doubt anyone would have any "emotions" for Campbell.
Isnt that what we have now?? and ppl have similiar emotions for him.
Well, he's the current quarterback of the team. Maybe he is just another Frerotte. There's nothing wrong with that. Coming out of the Redskins development system, it takes pretty impressive character to hang around as long as Frerotte or Ramsey did.

Still if we win any games in the short term, it's going to be more because of Campbell than in spite of him.

I'm sure we will, but this dude (GusFrerotte) talks about Frerotte as though he was Darrell Green or Riggo.

Please stop looking at his numbers, JC has no leadership and he is still scared when he looks down the field, his numbers are overrated due to the prevent defense that teams put on him at the end of second quarter and the end of the game. Stop defending him, he has time and he cant read the defense, an I AM FING TIRED OF IT. Whew feel better now.

Because he's 83 years old and behind our OL he would get broken. Dan's got enough problems, paying disability on a senior citizen shouldn't be another one!

Not to add more fuel to the fire but here's some by Peter King. Referencing Charley Casserly...

The Redskins probably are going to have to get a quarterback after the season. Charley Casserly had some good tape Sunday on the CBS pregame show of Jason Campbell ignoring open receivers downfield to consistently throw checkdowns. This echoes what opposing coaches have been saying, and it's certainly part of why McDaniels wouldn't trade Cutler to the Redskins in April; he wanted a quarterback he could trust and one he felt he could win with, and that quarterback was not Campbell.

This is a game the Redskins defense is going to have to win, and I don't think they can hold the Eagles down. Philly's explosive plays will carry the day.

i saw that in the SI article as well... Campbell is not the only - or biggest - problem with this offense, but he's a big part of our inability to score touchdowns.

Yes, there's no excuses for JC. He's had his chance. Add QB to the wishlist.

At the same time, i'm not against keeping him for a few more years. He'll be cheap and he'll have experience. Doesn't mean he has to start. We may go offensive lineman in this draft, and hell, we'll most likely need someone to be QB for a year or two.

We could have the opportunity to draft a potential franchise QB too, and that may be tough to pass over.

Wow, I had NO IDEA Campbell was the person calling the stretch-left plays inside the 10 and running the ball in passing situations. I bet he's also the reason we're not trying fade routes to our tall WRs too!

Golly gee willikers...thanks for helping us understand this complipl...complloc...this hard football stuff! Glad someone here has fancy book-learnin'!

I'll update the stats again after the MNF game. Cutler laid another 3-interception rotten egg in the Bears' 45-10 beatdown by the Bengals and Sanchez was again mediocre as the Jets used the running game to the tune of 316 rushing yards to beat the Raiders.
