Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever

An internal evaluation of Twitter’s recommendation algorithms concluded that they amplify right-leaning political content more than left-leaning content, company researchers announced Thursday, undercutting allegations by many conservatives who contend they are being censored on the platform.

Twitter researchers analyzed millions of 2020 tweets by elected officials in seven countries — Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, Britain and United States — as well as posts that linked to political content from news outlets. Researchers relied on outside experts to determine what was right- or left-leaning rather than deciding for themselves.

“Our results reveal a remarkably consistent trend: In 6 out of 7 countries studied, the mainstream political right enjoys higher algorithmic amplification than the mainstream political left,” the researchers wrote in a 27-page report.

Lol…”let me find an opinion article that says the opposite”

Internal emails, communications, screenshots, data and second sourced quotes from employees at Twitter conformation of policy..bans, suppression of speech went only one way. And they outright lied about and now are caught

”I’ll ignore the facts and transparency straight from the source”

This is why they are mad, they can’t control false narratives anymore. It’s blown up in their face…so desperate attempts to prop up new false narratives to move away from the facts coming out

My favorite is this logic> 2018 “of course they aren’t censoring anybody you conspiracy nutbug” > now “of course they have been always censoring, it’s good and it’s always been”

Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema is changing her party affiliation to independent, delivering a jolt to Democrats’ narrow majority and Washington along with it.

“I would just suggest that these are not the questions that I'm interested in,” Sinema said. “I want people to see that it is possible to do good work with folks from all different political persuasions, and to do it without the pressures or the poles of a party structure.”

https://www.yahoo.com/news/sinema-switches-independent-shaking-senate-110000180.html

We need more bi-partisanship in Congress ... whether it proves naive in this climate? who knows but good for her.

I strongly disagree. Forcing your pronouns upon others when they didn’t ask, and implicitly ostracizing those who don’t, is neither good nor kind to anyone.

As for Fauci, he lied to Congress and funded gain-of-function research that killed millions of people. Not awesome imo.

That is an accurate take. It's just each side is in the habit of officially denying or acting shocked at reality (Just see the media bias thread or heck at least one of the posts following this post).

Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever

It’s amazing to see Twitter made up the rules as they went to outright ban conservative opinions they didn’t like and not enforce the same rules against democrats and liberal voices.

The funniest was Head of Twitter security, the known pervert Yoel Roth, when Eric Holder said “ trump was purposely slowing us mail” on Twitter it received a warning which Perv Roth had removed because he approved that conspiracy theory.

The Biden campaign and later administration had a personal line and email box to the Twitter board where they submitted posts to remove and people to block. Email receipts posted confirmed it.

Screenshots also confirmed Fox News's Dan Bongino, youth activist Charlie Kirk, and Stanford CDC critic Dr Jay Bhattacharya were targeted to stop their accounts from gaining prominence. This is shadow banning which Twitter employees referred to VF, visibility filter.

When the Government works with Twitter to censor silent it’s critics….that’s actual fascism folks. So call it out.

Correct some one is saying "hey I'd like to be called Jimmy could you please quit calling my James" and someone else is getting their undies in a bunch they were asked nicely to stop doing something.

The whole pronoun thing is so fucking weird. It’s like some ritualistic cult bs. “Please ignore science and norms and refer to me as blah blah blah.” What the fuck…laughable bullshit.

Now the obsession with child drag shows. Sick, twisted cult like shit.

Rep. James Comer, R-KY, and Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, released a list of 40 officials from President Biden's administration and health groups they will expect testimony from in the new year. Chief among those expected to testify is Dr. Anthony Fauci, a top punching bag for Republicans on COVID policy.

"Discovering the origin of COVID-19 is vital to providing accountability and protecting Americans in the future. Mounting evidence points to the virus originating from a leak at the Wuhan lab. EcoHealth Alliance, a U.S. National Institutes of Health grantee, passed taxpayer funds to the Wuhan lab to conduct gain of function research on bat coronaviruses – research that may have started the pandemic," Comer said in a statement announcing the investigation.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/house-republicans-demand-testimony-dozens-biden-officials-covid-19-origins-virus-research-wuhan

Discovering the origin is very important.

Hopefully the Repubs dont turn this into a political attack job on Dr. Fauci but everyone knows this is just political theater ... when learning about Covid so we are better prepared for next time is vital.

There will be a next one.

China is still building huge quarantine cities.

China will be ready for the next one.

US ... were fucked. Next virus we wont even be able to get a mask mandate to work

There will be a next one. A more deadly one.

China will be ready.

We wont. We will actually be less ready.

Lol, you know there was a bigger story recently about the censorship of political speech folks at Twitter disagreed with. Where emails receipts show post removal request from the Biden administration. the receipts of banning of President trump was made up policy with emails confirmed he violated No policy within guidelines while heads of states across the world called for destroying Israel, and too take up arms against political rivals…their accounts remained.

Not only were they shadow banning conservative voices, which emails and screenshots of accounts confirm, but then lied about it under oath.

I hope the Senate passes it as well, but they won't due to the fear of the idiotic xenophobic populist wing of the Republican party (MAGA)

In the last three votes they voted for statehood but Congress just wouldn't act. They should be a state already. Americans get so friggen short sited every few generations. If Hawaii and Alaska weren't states already I'm sure there'd be a large element wanting them cut loose right now too.

Land is a finite resource. As bad as Carter was as President the worst thing he did was giving the Panama Canal territory away.
