Agreed. Campbell has not been bad considering the broken system he's forced to play in. He'd be great to see if he can play better under a competent play-caller next year with a big-name coach. If we can draft Colt McCoy, I say take him...although we should be concentrating on the O-line. Campbell can start the season while McCoy gets ready...and if he falters, he can be replaced and the blame must go on him since Zorn will be gone. I still see a lot of talent and leadership qualities in Campbell. If he had a coach that could make use of them to their fullest, he could still be our QB for the future. People say he's had a chance...but really, with the line Cerrato has built (or failed to build to be accurate) and the failed Zorn experiment that has been in charge of the offense, Jason really HASN'T had a chance. When the line is healthy for the first few weeks of the last few seasons, he's looked great. As the line falls apart with no quality backups, the entire offense stalls. Adding in the mix that Zorn can't call plays...he really had no chance to succeed to his potential.

Please just say NO to TEBOW.

At least I know there's someone out there (even it is Charlie Casserly) that's seeing the same thing I'm seeing when I'm watching the game and yelling at my TV.

the sad part is JC isnt even throwing it on time when his first read receiver is open open.

ive posted on here a couple times that imo JC needs his first read to be open open for any passing play over 10 yds to click. apparently (atleast from this small sampling) shows that even when zorn calls a perfect play, the reciever runs a good route and JCs first read is open, he still doesnt get the ball out on time.

I'm starting to think more and more that Campbell was the player that teammates, like Portis and Cooley, were calling out for not doing his job - after the first couple games of the season.

Yes, whether or not CC is a good GM or not, you've got to agree that his analysis on CBS is "super smart."

I think a team could do alot worse than CC as their GM. I'd like to go younger for our GM, but just sayin.

I kinda doubt it. Despite his struggles he's a hard worker and has the respect of his teammates. Hell, he and Cooley are practically best friends off the field, so I can't see Cooley calling him out.

I can see why Campbell has friends on this team, but I'm not so sure about the respect part of this. They all watch, analyze, and discuss film together, so they know who's doing well or not. As a teammate, if my quarterback was the reason we weren't winning - I wouldn't respect him - even if he was my best friend.

I don't believe there are players walking around thinking that JC is the sole reason they aren't winning.

He isn't the sole reason why, but when they're watching film - Zorn has had to say the same things that Casserly just said in that video in front of the whole team. He can sugarcoat it all he wants in front of everyone but if he's correcting Campbell with a number of plays, then that gets into the minds of the players.

I'm just saying there's really no way around that.

go skins!![/quote]I've been one of the Campbell defenders, but wow, film doesn't lie. I trust film more than I trust numbers, and many of the instances that Casserly showed were EASY throws if the ball comes out on time. Perhaps Campbell will end up as a backup for a team running a Coryell-based downfield attack.

Yeah I just don't think you always "lose respect" for someone if they aren't playing well.

By all accounts JC works hard on and off the field, so I'm sure he has a basic level of respect from his teammates for that. Sure he's not playing well and of course you have to start by looking at his play, but there are a bunch of other factors at work as well that is contributing to his poor play. It's not as easy as just pointing the finger at him alone.
