Yeah if the Redskins have absolutely no plans to trade Cousins like they say, then I doubt anything gets done before July. |

that is true . . . but i've heard people say the "real" deadline is the draft as they need to know what they are going to be able to do by then, for trade purposes too |
They're still quite far apart. I'm sure both sides would like to come to a resolution on this sooner than later. And hopefully both will realize having each other is the best scenario for the short and long term
What's the percentage of him signing now in your opinion? Btw, thank you! |
Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
Rich Eisen just said Cousins should not be making 23-24 million a year. 20 million per year is the max for Cousins.

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
looks like some negotiations have started:
Source (Lets Go Redskins):
Sources are reporting that the Redskins have offered Cousins a long term deal at $20 million per season. The franchise tag is worth $24 million. That is likely where any long term deal parameter lies. If you recall, the maximum offer for Cousins last season by the Redskins brass was $16 million per season. The fact the Redskins are offering $4 million below the franchise tag shows that any long term deal may be far off. Bottom line is, Cousins will likely command between $24 and $25 million per season and until numbers such as that are discussed, the Cousins’ saga will just continue to drag on. The positive news is the fact that discussions are occurring between the two sides.
|

Btw, thank you!
I still keep it at 40-45% |
Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
If the opening offer is $20M, and you know that McCartney's opening position is going to be $25M per year (which is just slightly higher than the tag), then it's very easy to see them coming together around $23M.
This deal gets done, guaranteed. |

Legal deadline is July, I think gets some form of resolution (deal, or trade) by the draft. Personally I think they hammer it out this week. |

A-r-r-r-r-g-h! The least you can do is tell us what we want to hear. You know, a nice little feel good lie, like 70-75%. |
