So you can store classified documents as long as G1 approves of the stored documents and can find an article that supports his own idea. Apparently 'classified' is open to interpretation. There's an OK 'classified' document to store wherever you want and a not OK one. All of Trump's are the not OK ones, all of Biden's are the OK ones. Amazing! Outside of G1 being so full of shit, it's funny we're pretending like politicians on both sides haven't been doing this shit forever. Can't wait to spend the next 5 years hearing about documents found in broom closets. |

2022 spending:
399 Billion on debt interest spending. Not on paying down the debt, just the interest on the debt. That's fucking disgusting!! This isnt about new spending under President Biden but paying off our credit card debt for purchases we already made. We cant default ... in this economic climate it might be a disaster. Maybe we could, let the S&P take a huge hit then rich people can swoop in with cash in hand and get richer. Solution - balance budget going forward? Everything neutral and stop with the "political math" that this bill will pay for itself when the GDP reaches 9.8% |

Everything neutral and stop with the "political math" that this bill will pay for itself when the GDP reaches 9.8%
Yeah, my post was not meant to be about just the Joe Biden administration or saying no to raising the debt ceiling. That would just be all for show, not to actually accomplish anything. This debt has been mounting for a very long time. But we just keep piling on to it. Defaulting is definitely not the solution either. It's absolutely immoral what our "leaders" have done to this country. Both sides. Balancing the budget should be the start. Not passing bills with tons of extra shit in it should be on the list. Freezing spending increases should be on the list. Cutting spending across the board x% would be a good idea. If everyone had to cut the same amount, no one should be able to complain. And there is no way every government dept. can't find some bloat to chop off. Any budget surplus goes to paying off the debt, it does not get recycled to get spent somewhere else. There are lots of things that could be done, but instead they just keep spending more than we bring in every year. They just pretend like the money is fake and the debt is imaginary. While us peasants keep getting screwed. It's just not right. |

Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever
I spent 2 days in the National Archives looking for the original copy of this Law Enforcement manual that some defense expert was relying upon. I think I had a DC federal judges order with me giving me permission
This was in the late 90s pre internet as we know it now. Day 2 finally found someone helpful and we went to the back back area ... HUGE warehouse rooms with collapasable/foldable accordian style shelves that were 15 feet high Every book, every manual, every manual of a manual was there there was dust and it felt like some scene from a movie Found it in nick of time and had to speed back to court Really awesome experience |
Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever
The records, which were taken into FBI custody, "appear to be a small number of documents bearing classified markings that were inadvertently boxed and transported to the personal home of the former vice president at the end of the last administration," Pence's lawyer, Greg Jacob, wrote in a letter to the National Archives shared with The Associated Press.
He said that Pence had been "unaware of the existence of sensitive or classified documents at his personal residence” until a search last week and “understands the high importance of protecting sensitive and classified information and stands ready and willing to cooperate fully with the National Archives and any appropriate inquiry.” Pence told the Associated Press in August that he did not take any classified information with him when he left office. Asked directly if he had retained any such information, he said, “No, not to my knowledge.” https://www.yahoo.com/news/lawyer-classified-documents-found-mike-172503729.html Are these documents like things that were stamped "classified" for purposes when they were created but now hold no significance? Like their daily travel itinerary for some random day in 2017 or something. I understand its classified so they probably cant say but it seems like with Pence and Biden it was inadvertent and not some nuclear codes or blueprints to a secret nuclear lair. |

Changes in the justice system are failing which is zero surprise…Covid responses were a failure which didn’t help when dealing with kids and schools, sciences states it was a massive failure. Glad to see some familiar faces back! What happened?
Sitting President attempted to covered up his own mishandling of classified docs, some which went back to when he was senator, until ABC news caught them red handed. I guess he would have continued to cover it up until when? Let’s see what the special counsel has to say about it. Very serious |

So this happened in Chicago last month. (Video of a multiple homicide (3 dead 1 crit) - it's not graphic)
https://twitter.com/RealMattCouch/status/1617773914238877698 The bad thing is that the shooter in 2014 was convicted of forcible entry that resulted in 2 murders (and given his conduct last month was probably the shooter then too). Reminds me of that Gerrard Butler and Jamie Fox movie where Fox makes a deal to let the primary killer go in order to get a conviction on his partner. |

Crump’s co-counsel described Nichols as defenseless in the video. “He was a piñata to those police officers. It was an unadulterated, unabashed, nonstop beating of this young boy for three minutes,” lawyer Antonio Romanucci said during the press conference. The police chief said the video will be released “in the coming days” and urged the community not to respond with violence and destruction. It was not immediately clear when the body camera footage would be released, but Crump said on Monday that it could be one to two weeks.
