They were probably not easy to dig up. Do you seriously think the mostly liberal media tells the whole story? What is the percentage of the public that knows George Floyd had a history of drug use and committing violent crimes? Instead of telling the real story of his past he is portrayed as the gentle giant, what a joke. Most everyone who dies at the hands of police contributes to their bad experience, George Floyd was no exception. |

As far as Floyd who cares about his past, his past in no way justified him being murdered by the cops. |

As far as Floyd who cares about his past, his past in no way justified him being murdered by the cops.
His past does not justify him being murdered by police, but portraying him as a model citizen creates a false narrative that everyone needs to fear the police. Police kill more white people than black people, almost everyone killed by police had a history of drug use and committing crimes. In spite of this the media portrays the police of constantly killing "innocent" black people. That is a big fat lie that strikes fear in people that can lead to them causing a bad interaction with police that did not need to happen. The media divides people, they cause a lot more harm than they do good, too bad 1/2 the population is blind to this. Go ahead, find me someone killed by police who was clean and sober and had not recently committed a crime or had a rap sheet. |
Re: When is Enough ,Enough?
You and a friend are standing in the middle of a completely dark room.
Your friend has a flashlight. You can only see what your friend shows you with the flashlight. Maybe the flashlight is showing a coffee cup sitting on a desk but you cannot see anything else around it. The "media" is your friend with the flashlight. Article titled "Coffee cup sitting on desk" is an accurate, factually correct fact. To say its "fake news" because the article doesnt go into whose cup it is or what is in the cup is a stretch imo. Bias? Perhaps Good news? Read 3 articles from 3 different news sources and youll get to see 3 times as much. One shows us the cup. one shows us the empty bottle of bourbon. One shows us the name on the desk. The name placard says "Buffalo Bob". We now know Buffalo Bob likes to drink bourbon out of coffee cups. Why do you drink it out of a coffee cup bob? is it so your girlfriend thinks its coffee? What are you hiding bob?!? |

Define logic because I'm not seeing it. I don't care what anyone has done in their past, if they're murdered by a cop it's wrong, period. |

You keep playing the blame the victim card and it's total BS
What about the pregnant lady George Floyd threatened with a gun during a home invasion robbery? George Floyd was a "victim" of the way he conducted himself. Once again the cop who killed him was 100% wrong, but George Floyd's life style contributed to his chances of having a bad interaction with police. I blame both the cops and the "victim", in this case. |
Re: When is Enough ,Enough?
Bob, you can certainly think and hold whatever opinion you want .... but if you think a robbery in 2007 has anything to do with what happened in 2020, let alone arise to the level of thinking "I blame both of them" ....
Your opinions are not logical. Youre bias. You are the one looking for any reason or justification that comports or confirms to your previously held bias before you knew one thing about George Floyds death. Im disappointed in you today Bob. Bad Bob. |
Re: When is Enough ,Enough?
Here are some liberal media outlets that have all talked about Floyd's past:
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-52871936 https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/09/us/george-floyd-who-is.html https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/may/29/george-floyd-who-was-he-his-friends-words Not hiding putting far out there. Here is how a site that labels itself as a rightwing site that specializes in misinformation website puts it: https://greatgameindia.com/george-floyd-criminal/ I just don't see how events from 2007 have any bearing in 2020. Bad Bob.
You are twisting my words. Plain and simple, the more crimes you commit the more likely the chances of a negative interaction with police. I admit there are certain behaviors I do not give second chances for. To me someone who raises a hand to a woman shows a character flaw that is unlikely to be fixed. George Floyd stuck a gun in a pregnant woman's stomach, bad, bad, bad, I do not care if he did it 50 years ago. I do not forgive such behavior. For the record I have a piece of trash nephew who resides in an Idaho prison. He seems to have parlayed 2-5 in to 7 years and counting. He is up for parole in October this year with full sentence completion in 2023. He is a sociopath who brags about his long juvenile rap sheet. His current jail stint started when he was 18. If he ends up being killed by police I will neither be shocked or care, the world is a better place without him in it. He has had plenty of chances to turn his life around, but refuses to do it. I am not one of those blood is thicker than water people. |

I swear it seems a lot of liberals are pro criminal.
No doubt, but what is more important his past behavior in Texas or his past behavior in Minnesota in regards to how he is viewed by police in Minnesota? Here is his criminal history in Minnesota https://chs.state.mn.us/Search/SubmitChsSearch The last 6 years of his life. You want to say he should be punished for what he did in 2007? No arguments here but to basically say it was only a matter of time based on past history is just plain silly. I am not pro criminal either I am not even sure what the hell that means. Lastly, if you are going to label me label me correctly I am not a liberal I am a socialist. If you are going to demonize me do it correctly and give me the accurate title of evilness I deserve. |

Haven't looked into it at all. Trump could easily be/probably is the asshole here or he could be correct. But imo it doesn't matter. You don't have to share every opinion you ever have. Its OK to STFU!!! Especially as President. Just STFU! He is going on 80, so this lesson will always allude him apparently. Like what possible benefit did he think would come out of this post? It's frustrating because I like his policies in general (not talking COVID or the protests stuff, just back when life was normal). It makes common folk supporters like myself always on defense. Offense is more fun and take away the dumb fuckery there are some good arguments (from the conservative side) that he was doing good things here. |

Objectively speaking, he does have a helmet in one of his hands as he's walking over to them. What was he doing with his phone? Who knows without audio and he hasn't made a statement yet. To me it looks like he was just talking and gesturing with the hand he was holding the phone with. Either way the situation escalated way too quickly and the police response was 100% incorrect.
