Ponder....meh. Draft 2012 is where we'll find our QB of the future. Possibly RG3.
Yeah I know Sammy, but Ponder at the very least would make a decent backup. Grossman is gone after this season, and if you draft a guy it is just Beck and the draftee. Would have been nice to have a 3rd guy in the mix for emergenices. |

~~~~ He neds to get in his boy Kyle's face and ask WTF he is doing as a playcaller? |
Loser of the game Grossman.
Runner up, Trent....started the game with 2 key penalties then gets injured, causing a reshuffling of the line that was head scratching. Why move Montgomery from Center instead of putting in another LG...oh yeah, we don't believe in carrying a 3rd guard on the squad...a lot of why we couldn't run had to do with the Oline injuries and our FO insisting that we dont need a backup guard. Our interior was suffering and it affected both Grossman and Beck. I was calling for Beck after the first quarter, not due to injury but due to needed extra mobility to deal with the line injury issues. Bottom line, this team is still a 7-9 team...until we actual beat that mark, I will not believe. Some of you crazy bastards actually believed we could win the division after beating bad and injured teams, my oh my!
Shanahan is the loser of the game. |
What a coach says after the game DOESN'T"T MATTER. It won't change anything. He isn't going to say what's truly on his mind. He isn't going to throw people under the bus. I'm not sure what you are expecting? |
Re: The Gameday Thread: Philly at Washington
Our offense has been holding this team back for years. We need to find the damn end zone more than not. I want to Beck with a full week of pratice with the 1st team. We also have 2 injured O-lineman so that will hurt us even more on offense.
Defense grade A- Offense grade C- |
Re: The Gameday Thread: Philly at Washington
his ego wont let him admit he made horrible decisions and horrid playcalling. We threw FOUR INTs and our defense keeps us within one score. This game is 50% on grossman, 50% on shanahan, and 100% on both of em together. after that showing, rex should be cut.
I'm not sure what you are expecting?
A hell of a lot more than, "I don't know" type of answers. A little personal responsibility doesn't hurt. I don't expect him to crucify himself, but he's as much accountable for this loss and the guys out on the field. |
Re: The Gameday Thread: Philly at Washington
Their offense owned our D in the first half. OWNED. Adjustments were made, play was better - whatever - in the second half.
It takes a full game on both sides of the ball. The offense sucked all game. The defense only sucked half a game.
Ill take holding the Eagles offense to 20 points all take all freakin day. So say what you will, but when you hold them to 20 at our place, we shoulda won. half the damn 20 were given to the eagles by our freakin offense . |
Nothing good about a loss period.
I agree Ruh, but you have to take something from each game, even if it is just learning something about your team. Beck should be the man the rest of the way. With him, maybe we can salvage something. We are 3-2, still above .500 and plenty of football left. Six to seven more wins should be good enough for the playoffs. There is no excuse for a team with this type of talent not to at least make the Wildcard round. |
D took time to make adjustments to the off-tackle sprint run, but O put the D in very poor position all game.
D came up big holding Philly to 2 FGs in 2nd qtr. 6 points over 44 min. is pretty good with Vick making only 1 mistake on the batted INT.
preach as SS would say |
Hey like B Mitch said, David Garrard is still on the free agent market. Not that I support that, but I'll just play devils advocate and say what if. What if. |
Re: The Gameday Thread: Philly at Washington
If Rex starts next week. I may just change the channel when our offense is on the field to save me from having a heart attack
Re: The Gameday Thread: Philly at Washington
Really Mike?! :doh:
granthpaulsen Grant Paulsen Mike Shanahan wouldn't commit to a starting quarterback moving forward. #Redskins |
