Is Bledsoe really a top 15 QB? Maybe fantasywise. But he certainly is no Brunell and I would take Eli over him. McNabb has playmaking potential, so I would rank him over Bledsoe as well. So I believe, objectively, that Drew is the worst QB in our division, and I think top 15 may be pushing it. The guy has never been impressive when faced with adversity (unlike McNabb or Brunell, and it's too early to tell on Eli). He's a veteran who has the experience to lead an NFL team, but he doesn't strike me as a winner, at least not anymore.

name everyone that's better than him. 8th in yards, 8th in TDs, 17th in rating, BUT his OL was absolute shit. brunell was 14th, 8th, and 13th. bledsoe is error prone and slow, but he's not total crap... not yet.

Peyton Manning
Tom Brady
Carson Palmer
Matt Hasselbeck
Trent Green
Ben Roethlisberger
Mark Brunell
Drew Brees
Jake Delhomme
Marc Bulger
Kurt Warner
Brett Favre
Eli Manning
Donovan McNabb
Brad Johnson
Steve McNair
Michael Vick

Because this list is 100% mine, I left off some names of QBs who I believe are a bit overrated such as Plummer and Leftwich. But I'm sure a lot of people here could come up with a top 15 list that doesn't include Bledsoe.

Bledsoe has top career QB stats due to longevity, which is a credit to him, but being around as long as he has with his rep, one would expect more than one trip to the SB. The guy hasn't even started a playoff game since 1997 (8 years). So the winning just isn't there.

HA, man the hostility in the air huh. At least its nice to see people are still passionate about there teams, but this quarterback controversy needs to stop. If one area in our division is weak, i would say it would be at the quarterback position, so you cant just go on and say bledsoe sucks and is not a leader, because to be honest with you im not totally sold on brunell as a leader or as my starting qb for that matter, in essence your both talking about the same guy. Both are nearing the ends of the nfl careers, both pocket passers and need time to throw and both are being groomed to be replaced. If you look at brunells numbers last year not all that impressive, it was manly our defense that kept us in games.

for 2006? you're going to have to axe bulger and mcnabb then, cause they didn't play enough to be considered for any list like this. warner also missed 6 games and with an 11-9 TD-INT ratio couldn't really be put above bledsoe in 2006 either (he also had better WRs and a better OL believe it or not). Farve (even though his team was terrible) is someone i'd also consider very borderline in 2006 because he threw 9 more ints than tds, though he did play on a VERY bad team. Eli's a wash.

that'd make him top 15 (axing bulger/mcnabb/warner, all of which didn't play enough). eli and brunell are essentially somewhat equal production wise. on a bad year like 2006, he's top 15. on a good year (culpepper doesn't suck etc) he'd be top 20. Either way, being average is a lot better than sucking... i mean, he could be tony romo, or alex smith.

Again, not a Cowgirls fan, but when you argue something there should be a little more info. Here is a list of hall of fame QBs and how Bledsoe measures up :

Bledsoe : 33k yards 165 tds 141 ints 81.6 passer rating

HOF QBs
Blanda : 27K yards 236 tds 277 ints 60.6 passer rating
Bradshaw : 28K yards 212 tds 210 ints 70.9 passer rating
Elway : 51.5K yards 300 tds 226 ints 79.9 passer rating
Marino : 61k yards 420 tds 252 ints 86.4 passer rating
Montana 40.5k yards 273 tds 139 ints 92.3 passer rating
Unitas 40.2K yards 290 tds 253 ints 78.2 passer rating.
these are just a few, but given Bledsoe may throw for another 9 to 12k yards before retiring, thats is only 3K a year which may be possible given the TO thing that puts him to around 45K yards, avg 20 tds a year, thats around 245 tds and 15 ints thats around 200 picks. that puts him behind only Marino and Elway in yards, around 4th or 5th in tds and gives him less ints to all except Montana.

Now if you are going on him not winning the big one, can you say Marino isn't hall of fame material because he didn't win the big one? I think not. Bledsoe has been on some pretty bad teams in the past, and could have possible one the big one as a started had he not gotten hurt. All this bledsoe bashing is because him being a Cowgirl. (which I generally agree with) I just think he may be getting a raw deal here

I am not sure how Palmer, Rothlesberger, Eli, Vick, Breese, can even be mentioned. I am not saying these guys wont be better, but to compare year or two stats against a guy that is ranked in the top 10 in most of the all time stats is a bit crazy. Vick is the most over rated, over hyped players in the NFL. Brad Johnson, are you kidding. Serviceable, but not as good. Jake D is not as good as people make him out to be. The guy benefits from throwing hell marrys to Smith. He throws way too many ints and gets help from a pretty damn good defense most of the time. Hasselbeck has had a couple of good years, hasn't played enough yet. Green has been pretty good I'll give you that, McNair, aside from his heart of champion and toughness is one of the great QBs in todays NFL. Drew breese, jury still out. Lets see what he does in New Orleans. Bledsoe has been with 3 teams, 3 offenses to learn and puts up pretty consistant numbers.

I don't have his inclusive team TD stat handy, but if the offense doesn't score under him, then I wouldn't mention Bledsoe in the same breath as Marino, Elway, Unitas, or Montana.

43,447 yards, 248 tds, 198 ints, 55.7% completion, started 187 or 188 career games, only missed 20 games in 14 years (14 of which came in 2001).
