Taylor had no business being one on one with Burress. If he was THAT good at coverage, he'd be a corner. He's only on the #1 receiver when there's a blitz, and the blitzing has been horrible all season. He's going to look just as bad or worse in a couple of weeks in Indy, if he has to cover Marvin Harrison one on one.

Ed Reed and every other good safety in the league are at their best when they can come over the top in coverage and cherry pick. Having to stay stride for stride with a #1 receiver all day would make any of them look bad.

It is believed former Maryland kicker [URL="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=7505"][COLOR=#0000ff]Nick Novak[/COLOR][/URL], who was in training camp with the [URL="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=ari"][COLOR=#0000ff]Arizona Cardinals[/COLOR][/URL] this summer, is among the candidates invited to Redskins Park as well.
Hall, 32, joined the Redskins in 2003 as an unrestricted free agent, after spending the first six seasons of his career with the [URL="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=nyj"][COLOR=#0000ff]New York Jets[/COLOR][/URL]. But the 10th-year veteran is frequently injured and only once since signing with the Redskins, during the 2003 season, as Hall been able to kick in all 16 games. Because of injuries, Hall appeared in a total of just 18 games in 2004-2005.
Sources agreed that, because some team officials feel they can't always depend on Hall from a physical standpoint, a change could be coming.
The veteran kicker did not appear on the Redskins' injury report following Sunday's game. But in the past, Washington officials have been frustrated by Hall's lack of availability because of injuries. He suffered a hamstring injury that limited him to eight games in 2004 and in 2005 played in just 10 games because of a quadriceps injury.
Coach Joe Gibbs said that, on Saturday, Hall informed him that he was "a little bit tired with his leg." That prompted the Redskins to use punter [URL="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=6737"][COLOR=#0000ff]Derrick Frost[/COLOR][/URL] on kickoffs, a chore he has handled in the past. Hall hit one of two field goal tries, missing from 42 yards. In addition to his nine field goal conversions, Hall has made all nine of his extra point tries in 2006.
For his career, Hall has connected on 203 of 272 field goals and 280 of 286 extra points.
Peterson, 36, is believed to be the most veteran kicker who will take part in Tuesday's audition. He has converted 235 of 296 field goals and all but three of his 341 extra point attempts, for 1,043 points. He has scored over 100 points six times in his career.

Yeah, because it was that 17 point field goal that Hall missed, that cost Washington the game...

As far as the article, I can understand why they'd be frustrated with injury, but Hall is fairly reliable when he is healthy. If they cut him, it'll be a flashback to the Norv era when they went through a dozen kickers in two seasons.

Hall can't kick off anymore. We need a placekicker who can kick FGs and kick off.

You mean the same Taylor that has held his own against Randy Moss and TO?

I'd take my chances with Taylor on just about anyone. He had a bad day, but I'd take my chances with him on Burress again without even thinking about it.

That's gotta be Len trying to paint the Skins as a panicked organization. John Hall has seriously been the LEAST of our problems this season and unless he's really hurt, it would send a bad message to the team not a good one.

He wasn't the hole reason but it just may be time to see if the Kid can get it done! Campbell is younger,stronger and faster then Brunell. Other teams have moved on from old QB's like the Giants,SD and Look at Grossman for the Bears. Look at the Boys dose anyone really think Bledsoe is going to take that team to a Championship? Is Campbell ready???? Well not likely no. But standing on the side line will not change that. So if your going to Puke sorry. I like Brunell but time has passed him by and it time to see if Campbell has what we hoped he can be! He may not but we will never know standing on the sideline. By putting Campbell againts a weak foe this week would be much better then the colts. Everbody believes the line,Wr's,RB's and TE are good enough to win. If that is true and the man calling the plays is that good then it comes down to the man at the QB spot.

Poor Brunell. You could tell he was FURIOUS because the plays weren't coming in quickly enough. I'm sure that stalled at least one drive in the first half. (And probably more.)

Also, you'll notice that Moss hangs out a lot (during game time) with Portis and Brunell. I don't think he would be doing that if he was upset with him (Brunell) for not doing his job.

moss isn't a diva. portis isn't a diva (on the field). they do their job an realize b*tching out the QB won't fix anything. moss WAS visibly upset in dallas though when he was wide open.

I just want more consistancy (consistantly good that is), but who doesn't?

It's okay guys. We will look like world beaters against the titans. The titans? Are you kidding me??? And come the following week, we will look like puss against the colts. This season is going in the crapper. I'm sorry for being so negative, I just love this team so much. Damn I miss the 80's.
