Re: Willis picks Seahawks over SKINS
Not getting Willis narrowed our 13th overall draft selection.
We need to force a RT now with our selection. |
I'm still holding out that JT may be resigned later on down the road. He's got his Jason Taylor Foundation down in Florida that he works with heavily. Being in DC during the off-season would have significantly reduced his involvement. At this stage in his career he can pretty much call his shots. He says "I want to stay in Florida". The team says "No, we need you here". The two sides agree to part ways perhaps leaving open the possibility of him resigning with the team at a later time. Both sides win and neither looks like a chump...
end pipe dream.
I most definately hope not, there is a reason he was cut, he didnt want to put in the effort, we dont need someone like that on our squad...sets a bad example for the younger players, whom already havent shown they can handle the NFL yet!! |
Re: Willis picks Seahawks over SKINS
Get crowell I FA, trade down draft mack, you hopefully get a 2nd rounder, draft Loadholt, to play right tackle, use the 3rd rounder on a DE like a brandon Williams of Texas tech, and use the rest of our picks on Tackles, LBs, and DE's...hopefully to find the next horton type pick/starter

Way to give up before the first snap of OTA's. :Flush: BTW, we don't have all of out picks next year, we sent our 6th to Miami for Taylor so I guess in your mind next offseason is scrapped too? Yay, 2011. :hater: |

Ok give 'em a break PT... LOL. We started FA in a flurry so it looked like we might run the table and address a good share of our needs, so now things look a little down. |

Next year we won't have a sixth. |
Re: Willis picks Seahawks over SKINS
Given the recent turn of events this is how I see the rest of the offseason shaping up.
- The team will sign Elton Brown within the coming days - Marcus Washington, Renaldo Wynn, and Phillip Daniels will be brought back. - Maualuga will be the Redskins pick in the draft at 13. - When the team comes up in the third round they will try and take the best available Tackle. Possibilities are as follows
Fenuki Tupou - OT - Oregon - NFL Events: Combine Player Profiles - Fenuki Tupou - This guy is my newest man crush. He has the size to play RT and on top of that he's just plain nasty. Sebastian Vollmer - OT - Houston - Don't know to much about him but he's tall. A little worried about weather or not he can put his hand in the dirt.

Phil Loadholt - OT - Oklahoma - NFL Events: Combine Player Profiles - Phil Loadholt Would be a coup if we could get him. Definitely has the size and personally reminds me of a more polished tackle version of Dockery.
- The team will eventually meet with Mark Tauscher if they find themselves uncomfortable with their options at RT and see weather or not he'll be ready to play by the time the season starts. - As far as the O-Line is concerned the teams line could end up looking like this Tackles: Chris Samuals, Stephon Heyer, Jon Jansen, 3rd Round Tackle Guard: Derrick Dockery, Randy Thomas, Elton Brown, Chad Rhinehart Center: Casey Rabach, Possibly Pete Kendall as a backup but not sure if the team would carry 10 O-lineman. Then again given how we broke down last year it couldn't hurt. Chad though could see a lot of time on the inactive list if Kendall gets brought back. Of course the team could very well use Jansen as the teams second Center especially with the likihood that he won't be seeing much time at RT this year. - The way I have it calculated now the team would have 54 players on the roster. Canidates not to be on the final roster include: Rob Jackson, Scat Back, Marcus Washington, James Thrash. |

You, redskinjim. You're on my list now. Anyone else want to make ageist comments. Come on lets go. Though I'm pretty sure most of you reading this have caught on I just want to say I'm joking around. |

Is that like saying I'm becoming an ageist, instead of I'm getting old? :food-smil |
