IDK there is nothing like putting a bullet hole in your own leg to make you wake up. :rolleyes:

Re: Giants release Burress

The New York Post reports that Plaxico Burress is expected to be released from prison within "two or three weeks" for good behavior.
The Post cites a "person who has visited Burress at the Oneida Correctional Facility in Rome," so we'd take the report with a grain of salt. He's expected to join a work release program upon leaving prison. Though it remains unclear when Plax will be permitted to return to the NFL, Giants GM Jerry Reese said his club will "definitely investigate" a potential re-signing. Don't hold your breath on a quick signing, though. The Giants already have a deep receiving corps, and Plax doesn't play special teams. We still consider him a longshot to play in 2010.

Cincy is too crowded with #85, Owens, Bryant, Coles...

Maybe Dallas if Dez continues to get hurt?

Nicks = Injured
Hixon = Injured
Manningham = Injured

If the season started today, they'd be playing with Steve Smith (wrong one), Sinorice Moss (wrong Moss), Tim Brown (definitely wrong one), Derek Hagan, Duke Calhoun, Ramses Barden and Victor Cruz.

Who?

Didn't hear that...not like it was a major headline at this point in his career.

Good for Plax. I hope he gets out and learned his lesson. Now the Giants do not have a deep wr corps. They've got some guys that they've invested high draft picks...Manningham and Nicks but neither has done anything. Also what has Sinorace Moss done in the 4 years he's been there? Nothing. I guess their most productive guy is Smith, good wr but not a true #1. If I were NY I would look into this and see if he's got anything in the tank.

Nicks...can play if needed
Manningham...can play if needed
Keep counting out Ramses Barden

Re: Giants release Burress

From BBI............

"
Whew! Nicks OK: WR Hakeem Nicks was sent to New York yesterday to undergo a second MRI and exam on his injured right knee. After both, the Giants issued the following statement:
“Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks hyperextended his right knee at the end of yesterday afternoon’s practice. Nicks underwent an MRI in Albany last night and another at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in Manhattan this morning. He was examined by team physician Dr. Russell Warren at HSS. The tests and exam showed nothing out of the ordinary with Nicks’ knee. Nicks, who is currently practicing once a day as he comes back from offseason toe surgery, could possibly return to the practice field as early as (Thursday).”
Giants Not Interested in Plax: According to The Star-Ledger, an unidentified team official told the paper that the Giants are not currently interested in re-signing WR Plaxico Burress when he is released from prison."

Just a quick note. Burress won't be suspended when he comes back.
