Colt Brennan, Safety?

When the offense is working apart from the defense, sometimes they have to recruit one of their own to mimic defenders.

During one drill on Friday, quarterback Colt Brennan donned a yellow rag over his helmet and lined up at strong safety.

Before the ball was snapped, Brennan even approached the line of scrimmage in an apparent effort to blitz.

He was quickly swallowed up by blocker Eddie Williams, though.

Thought this was funny, QB getting the other side of the guys who protect them.

Jason Campbell can't catch a break. At nearly every step this offseason, the Redskins have been linked to another QB, and with comments made recently by Jim Zorn and some other 'Skins coaches, he may have Michael Vick breathing down his neck at some point this season.
An anonymous Redskins coach told Fox 31 in Denver that, "There is definitely a number of us who would love to have him play here. I can tell you I would not mind at all."

While a little bit dismissive, head coach Jim Zorn left the door open in saying before Washington's first training camp practice that they would not be signing Vick "at this juncture." The insinuation here is that the team will have Vick's cell number handy if Campbell struggles to start the 2009
