I am not judging anyone who is finding better use of their time then watching this terrible team. But I can't turn away...I have to see every second live. I don't know why either...if I tried to do something else I would just obsess about whats going on in the game. I don't agree with most of what they do...every other thing i write on here is about how much I can't stand Snyderatto yet I just can't stop watching.
A lot of people are that way about watching car wrecks.

Herein lies the greatest, and one of the largest conglomerates of same-sayers found anywhere discussing the state of the Redskins organization. It behooves me how the "little man" can be sitting somewhere idly by, absorbing every word we print and continuing to stand by his conviction "If it ain't broke don't fix it" attitude.

It behooves me how for the better part of a decade he can watch his team become an exercise in futility, and not heed the advice from so many wisdom dwellers far superior in the knowledge of kingdom building. However, something tells me that despite his stubborness and seemingly unwillingness to adjust, there's no way he won't eventually adhere to the logic of his detractors and change his evil ways.
Breaking News: Washington Redskins Owner Dan Snyder Set To Hire New GM.

Team owner, Daniel Snyder, looking to add a spark to the struggling Redskins, has found a new General Manager for his team.

Snyder has offered the position to a money stack with big googly eyes. The money stack is currently a pitchman for GEICO Insurance.

The deal is reportedly worth the unguaranteed portion of Albert Hanesworth's $100 million contract.

Snyder will likely be retaining Executive Vice President of Football Operations, Vinnie Cerrato, The 'Skins owner said the move simply "brings in another set of eyes."

Snyder recently placed a sort of gag order on Defensive Coordinator Greg Blache, something not neccessary with the potential new GM, as he only communicates via text, never verbally.

Snyder was also impressed that the GEICO representative, like himself, was made of money.

There is a possibility that, if hired the money stack could bring in his own crew, including the Geico Gecko to replace head coach Jim Zorn. Zorn denied the rumor, but did mention that he"always feels like somebody's watching me"

Dan Snyder revealed that an overriding factor in his decision to make this move was "the money he could be saving by switching to GEICO (employees)
I'll go you one better than that: Word is, that once the naming rights contract between Danny Boy and Federal Express expires, the stadium will be renamed Dyson Field - the logic being, there is no other NFL team that can better demonstrate the sucking power of their vacuum cleaners than our beloved 'Skins....

Its disheartening to see the true Redskins fans on this site being eclipsed by this bandwagoning, ambiguous group of posers.

The person in this thread is looking for a galvanizing solution, and all I'm hearing are a bunch of gutless, spineless suburbanite naysayers. Where is your resolve and why express an opinion if your solution is to do nothing?

I was going to say someone needs a drink, but in my case, they're one in the same....

I am with you guys that have stopped watching. I have been going over to a friend's house every Sunday for 5 years here in KY to watch the Skins because he has NFL Sunday ticket. I feel bad for him, because he has spent all this money to watch the Skins every week and they are so bad. I'm not going over this week. The Giants/Saints game is the local broadcast here and that will be a much better game to watch IMO. I love the Skins, but I also love the NFL and after watching the Colts/Titans game Sunday night, I just got depressed at how good the Colts are and how bad the Skins are. Once the Skins get past this game, its going to get really ugly against the better teams coming up on their schedule and I am tired of being frustrated and angry every Sunday. There are more positive things to do with my time on Sunday afternoons. Until we see a change in GM, we are going to forever be a bottom tier team like the Raiders. Where is Jack Kent Cooke when we need him?

I'm an advocate of "Mutiny at FedEx Field" but I cannot actively participate because I don't live in the DC area. I'm originally from DC and have been a Redskin fan since the 60's. I moved to St. Louis after I graduated from college and have been to every Redskin game in St Louis since. So, how can I show my frustration with the franchise?
1. Do not go to any Redskin games until they change their philosophy.
2. Do not purchase any officially licensed Redskin gear.
3. Stop watching the games live on satellite DirecTV. (This will be the biggest sacrifice. I have the NFL Package. I will switch to watching the Red Zone channel and watch how football should be played on Sundays. Cannot switch to another team, just not in my DNA.)

#45 go back and read.

Smootsmack I'm not the one with 25,000 plus posts on a web site dedicated to a team I don't even watch.

I'd say you need a time machine.
Honestly though, even if they were 5-0 right now I'm not sure my approach would be much different. I have things to do with my life. I've been through the whole dedicate your entire weekend to the Redskins (more than many here), but like I said I've got things to do, places to be, people to see.
Why do you have to dedicate an entire weekend to the Skins to watch a 3 hour football game? That leaves you 45 hours of your weekend for anything else you may want to do. I personally decided last weekend after the game if the weather is right I would go fishing over watching the game but other then that I have 3 hours to watch. This weekend the forcast is for 20mph winds so fishing is out so I'll watch the game. I have a TV in my garage which I'm trying to finally finish so while the game is on I'll trim out the windows and the lay the base board. That way I have not waisted my time but still get to see the game.

Not to be argumenative, and I may be reading more into your choice of words than you had intended, but given KC's performance last weekend, do you see the 'Skins winning this Sunday? I know I sure don't.

Frankly, I think 2-14 (Yes, I know Oakland beckons but hey, EVERY OTHER bottom feeder in the NFL is transformed into Superbowl contenders on gameday with the 'Skins) is much more than just a distinct possibility....
