re: Stop the Madness, T.O. should be a skin (but he's not, he's a Bengal)
It's funny how once a person becomes a mod over there they change or at least it seems. Mark was a pretty good guy, but it seemed like he got all power hungry or something. Still better than most IMO. I'm sure they are all cool guys in person, but they should be cutting some slack to the long term members.
I also told them ways to fix things and they ignored it. I think one of them said something they couldn't do anything because they didn't own the board anymore, but I'm not sure.
Definitely. I mean he always had the tone of a veteran stepping in before he was a mod but since he couldn't do anything about it it didn't bother me. He's just become a know it all pompous douchebag now. Shame cuz he seems like a pretty cool blue collar guy that would be fun to hang around. You'd think with a close community with the tailgating he wouldn't be so internet pompous but oh well. |
When I joined ES in 2006 it wasn't so bad, but then again I hear most of the people who ran the board then are now over here, that true?
As mods? No. As members? Some of them I guess, I don't really keep track. None of them are very active if they are here. |
re: Stop the Madness, T.O. should be a skin (but he's not, he's a Bengal)
What and where are you getting this three way "deal" information? I read that rumor one time weeks ago, unless there is something else to that it was just another rumor with ZERO footing. Do you have some update?
As Al is nothing more than a royal pain in the ass, if he will comply (Grow up be a man and stop crying like a little girl) we are a better Defense with him on the field playing ball. I think our WR core and our DB's in that order are my primary concern going into this 2010 season.
The 3 way deal is just my opinion on how i think that is the best way to get rid of AH. Hey i agree AH does make us a better defense on the field ( when he ever gets on the field), he makes us a worse team in the locker room. I think we have to find a way to get rid of that head case and then worry about our WR'S, again just my opinion. |
re: Stop the Madness, T.O. should be a skin (but he's not, he's a Bengal)
T.O. was interviewed on a local (Houston) radio station this morning for a good 15 minutes or so and he sounds really together and well mentally. At least he sounds that way. I guess I have never really listened to him for that long, but he seems mature and well for a guy that has a little history of acting out or instability.
Maybe he has matured a bit over time. I am becoming more interested in him as a possible Redskin, at least I am warming to the idea. |
re: Stop the Madness, T.O. should be a skin (but he's not, he's a Bengal)
I would much rather have TO on a 1 year, vet minimum deal than pay a price to get Vincent Jackson.
Ideally, if we land T.O., we might see a Randy Moss in NE type of situation. Good WR plays for a bad team and QB, is considered washed up, goes to a good team and much better QB and has a career resurgence. Problem is, Moss was 31 at the time of the switch, TO is 36, so... |

Yes, let's "stop the madness" and ditch the notion of signing yet one more over-the-hill player that wants Fort Knox money and one that is also a freakin’ head case. Have you all not gotten sick and tired of the daisy-chain method of filling the Redskins roster?? How many more times will it take for everyone to realize that peeps like T.O. seldom work out well for the ‘Skins. Enough of this crazy talk already…jeeze.

Everybody knows that the gold isn't at Ft. Knox anymore. |
re: Stop the Madness, T.O. should be a skin (but he's not, he's a Bengal)
T.O. would not be here to be the number 1 option, he is however a person that will push competition for the better. I want him here at the right price.

It's a new start, a new decade and a new era. Both MS and BA have had some degree of success in the past bringing various types of players in. So, let's give the FO of BA/MS a clean slate and let them bring in who they want. It is just as bull headed to say "how many more times..." when this FO hasn't brought in peeps like TO to the Skins before. And a side note, Mike Shanahan will bring in more than his share of peeps like TO if his Denver Days are any road map. |

Until we take the field and change the previous culture that practically ruined a proud franchise, I'll stick to my guns in resisting the likes of T.O. In response to your side note, I hope you're wrong as it will only prove that the team as a whole has learned absolutely nothing from past mistakes. |

How would bringing TO in for a 1 year vet minimum deal be repeating the mistakes of the past? a mistake of the past would be bringing him in for a 5 year 50 million dollar deal |

Not so much the money if he can be had for a vet min., but bringing in yet another once great player that is a locker room cancer. Look, it's not that difficult to understand. This team has signed guys in the past that were great...for other teams. When they get here, they cash their check and it's all over. It amazes me how so many forget what they said about T.O. when he melted down in Philly and how he became a distraction in Dallas. You all hated him. But if he can be had for the vet min., oh lets get him, he'll behave here. I hope that our new coach and FO get it right this time and leave morons like T.O. alone, and rid the team of current morons like AH. |
re: Stop the Madness, T.O. should be a skin (but he's not, he's a Bengal)
Stop the Madness? If T.O. comes there will be nothing but madness
|
re: Stop the Madness, T.O. should be a skin (but he's not, he's a Bengal)
LMAO... We would be one of the biggest sports stories of the NFL season if TO becomes a Skin. DM and TO again would dominate the headlines and the Eagles and Cowboys games would be hyped beyond all recognition, and this team if we win would draw huge national ratings and allow me to catch more games without leaving my newborn and finace at home to go watch!
