Re: It's F'ing Dallas week
I think if Dallas is smart they will pound the ball at us and try to chew clock and wear us down. Mark Schlereth made a good point this morning on SC- the preseason may not count, but it does matter- And Dallas looked as bad as any team this preseason. So can they go on the road for a night game in a hostile environment against their archrival and just suddenly flip a switch and click on both sides of the ball?
I sure as hell hope not. But I'm realistic. IMO we're just a hair better than a middle of the road team. I think Dallas wins a pretty unexciting game 20-14. I'll be there, so I hope I'm wrong. I was looking at our projected starting lineup- Our average age of our projected starters at the skill positions (QB, RB, FB, WR, TE) is 32.3 years old. That's not good. Brandon Banks aside, I don't see any explosiveness whatsoever from this team. At least on offense. |

Re: It's F'ing Dallas week
I just don't think their defensive coordinator will know how to stop K. Shanahan's scheme. We'll keep them in check for most of the game. Redskins 21 Cowboys 17

Redskins 17
Dallas 13 This is the beginning of a disappointing season for Dallas. Redskins take advantage but not in a big way because were the Redskins and we don't win big. |
We have this same argument every year on this board.
Someone starts a thread about the up coming weeks game, people weigh in, god forbid you don't say the Skins win in a blow out; if you pick them to lose you are stripped of your Redskins Fan Card, regardless if you have been a fan since you were four. Gets old, fast.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. By the logic of the people you speak of, if you don't predict the Skins to go 16-0 and win the Super Bowl in a shutout, well ... some fan you are. You could extend that line of thinking even to people who are predicting a Skins victory, say a 17-10 win -- "What do you mean the Cowboys will score 10 points? What kind of fan are you ?!?" By the way, Cowboys probably take this one -- something like 34-20. On offense, I feel like we'll be better. But defense is what really concerns me. We haven't stopped the run, and last year we had issues with the deep ball, with no significant upgrades in the secondary; unless you consider Philip Buchanon an upgrade. This one could be ugly. But as usual, I hope I'm wrong. |
Re: It's F'ing Dallas week
I predict that it will be a good game and a close game. I have no idea who is going to win. What I do know is that I will be watchng replays of the cheerleaders on the sidelines during commercials.
