I just want to make sure I understand this right. KC is the only undefeated team in the NFL? Really KC.
Sign of the apocalypse? I must say, there is no dominant team in the NFL this year. Indy and New England seem mortal. The AFC North teams are going to beat the crap out of each other. The NFC East seems a bit mediocre, and every bandwagon's SB favorite, the Cowpukes, had to win a desperation game last week. Hell, even the AFC and NFC West doesn't seem to have a clear-cut division winner. I think we are going to see a lot of last minute games decide playoff spots this year. |

It could be an interesting December. I am glad that Dallas had such an early bye week. I am hoping that between the HOF game, and early bye, they will be sucking wind in December. |
Re: NFL Regular season thread (Week 4)
Why do you keep comparing Cutler to Campbell? It makes no sense whatsoever. Cutler is a good QB, not a great one; and the other is a mediocre QB that is sitting on Oakland's bench.
Cutler got dominated by another team and was not able to overcome the the deficiencies of his offense (although I think their D played well and gave the offense opportunities to come back in this game). Now he has a concussion and who knows what will become of him. End of story.
You tried to make them appear equivalent. I responded with a counter. Giants D-line played lights out and milked the laws of physics in their favor. Cutler's not going to overcome EVERY game, but he has made it work against Green Bay and Dallas and a few others. He's outdone Campbell in that regard. He and the refs are why the Bears are overachieving as much as they are. Put in someone with worse pocket presence and the like, and they're lucky to even milk out one win. |

Anyway, I think that any QB in that pocket (the Bears) would not have succeeded or survived. It seems that the Giants D-line got the whole "we're desperate for a win" down tonight. |
Re: NFL Regular season thread (Week 4)
He beat Green Bay and Dallas. He made big plays to Knox. He extended a play in which he was about to get canned by GB and flipped it to Olsen.
Hell, last year, he beat the Vikes with a beautifully thrown ball to Aromashodu. This week, the O-line could not tread water like they did in the previous weeks and he gets smacked with a concussion. The Bears o-line is never going to dominate an opposing o-line this year. They'll always be underdogs. Cutler may be facing similar external issuses to Campbell like the shitty O-line, but mentally and physically, he is much above Campbell. Campbell is not good with "over the top routes" or routes in which the target point has leads the receiver "up" field. He's only good at stuff like comebacks and the like. Campbell is also mediocre at extending the play, while Cutler has shown he can avoid some critical sacks and the like.
No the Defense beat GB and Dallas |

Hmm, the throw to Knox? Dumpoff to Olsen? Bomb to Knox? Slant to Olsen? How about having that crappy o-line hold up against GB's and Dallas's rush with well-executed and accurate quick throws? The Bears D is nowhere near elite status here. They need offense to make things click, and Cutler played a big role to make the O click in those two games. |

hmmmmmm like I said Dallas just isnt that good and Cutler is a good QB. Not great not elite, he's above average to good. |
Re: NFL Regular season thread (Week 4)
dude...Jason Campbell isn't even playing in Oakland...I think everyone knows he's not that good. Cutler is a beast with a ROCKET for an arm oh and he also releases it quicker than JC too. It's not even a point arguing who is better b/c it's not even close. And I think Cutler is an tier 2 QB. I'd take him over Schaub for my team, but that's as high as I go. top 4 are still P Manning, brees, rogers, brady, in that order. And Brady is dropping cause of that hair.

I'm talking about Dallas's defense, not Dallas as a whole. |

No way in HELL am I taking Cutler over Schaub. If Cutler is the QB for Houston they don't comeback to beat us. |

We can go back and forth all night but we won't accomplish anything. I like most everyone else thins that Cutler is an above average to good QB. You like almost no one thinks he is an elite QB |

I wouldn't say that but I would say that Schuab is the better QB. |
