Re: Redskins 2011 Salary Cap Status

Re: Redskins 2011 Salary Cap Status
Just finished a big update to the cap sheets (8/14).
Everyone is updated except Doughty, Graham, McIntosh, Rocca. Most of the info has been confirmed by various sources, and I made logical assumptions for the rest. All in all should be pretty accurate. Will continue to make updates as info becomes available. I currently have us at $8.6M of cap room. |

Did Cofield, Bowen, Chester, Stallworth, and Wilson cost that much? |

There's a $5.5M deadcap hit for Moss' old contract. Also Atogwe has a $7.9M cap hit including a $6.5M roster bonus that doesn't get prorated. The numbers seem right, if anything we have less room cuz I'm still missing a few signing bonuses. |
Re: Redskins 2011 Salary Cap Status
well considering we're not adding anyone, that's no big deal ;) just a bit of room to move some of next year's salary forward or look at extending some people.

Yeah but we've had Otogwe around for a while (relatively speaking). Was his contract not part of that $54 million space? Also how much cap space is $8.4 million in rupples. I a need to know how much money we has so I can cruise for chicks with astrological medallion. |

Unequivocally untrue. |
Re: Redskins 2011 Salary Cap Status
CC once again, invaluable info here. I love to dig in and analyze this stuff.
Love Kerrigan's contract. The impact of the rookie wage scale is tremendous. He never has a cap hit over $3 million all the way through the end of his contract in 2014. Artis Hicks probably makes sense to keep this year for depth, but he's definitely a cap casualty after this season, releasing him then will save us $1.5 million off the 2012 cap. Tim Hightower is a must-extend. |
Re: Redskins 2011 Salary Cap Status
We're in really good cap situation for 2012. Some expiring contracts: Landry, Fletcher, Hightower, Carriker, and Fred Davis. If they all play really well this year and we need to extend all of them, that eats up a lot of our cap room. But the team could save $6 million on Hall and should be sitting on somewhere around $30+ million of cap room to work with. And the impact of any rookie class over a class entirely of UDFAs is never going to exceed $3 million.
We'll have the financial flexibility to bring back whoever plays well this year, and still be competitive in the free agent market. |

thank you google!
Good TG. Now, how many bars of gold pressed latinum do we have left in cap space? And don't even think about giving me the number in terms of federation credit. |

Agreed. Just compare Kerrigan's cap hits to Trent Williams. I understand TW was a top 5 pick but nevertheless... |
