Re: Arizona RB Tim Hightower traded to Redskins.
The jury is out on this one for me until I know the draft pick involved. If it's a 5th or better, I don't like it. 6th would be okay, 7th would make my day.
I guess I'm just not wowed by the trade if it's a 5th. Yes, we shipped off Vonnie, but taking him out of the equation, I don't like a 5th for a player of questionable value at a position where we have already have a lot of potential. |
Christ O'Mighty, can you imagine the crap storm that would've ensued if that happened...
...I would've wanted Skelton, though. Skelton by a mile.
You and me both. This was the text I got "Clemens not enough? You guys are talking to AZ." |
I see this as trading haynesworth for Hightower. Very good move
BHA.....we finally got rid of our # 1 nemesis and I know no one here is happier than thou. Just had to get that in. :) |
Re: Arizona RB Tim Hightower traded to Redskins.
I just hope a couple of these FA bums they've signed will have decent ratings in Madden 12. Same goes for Beck.
Why did they draft all those RBs and WRs in the draft again? Looks like they should've targeted some OL and maybe [gasp] a QB!? |
Re: Arizona RB Tim Hightower traded to Redskins.
Damn Diehard, pretty harsh against the moves we made. I like what we are doing. Nice and quiet. These kinds of off seasons get things moving back towards be a winning franchise again. So how many pre BA and MS players are going to be left on this team once we finalize our 53 man roster? That is a question I would like to know. I would think it may be only as high as 35% or so. Lots of turnover the last 2 years. There should be some good players in all of these guys. We also have added alot of youth as opposed to lots of older players.

Bums?
smh |
Re: Arizona RB Tim Hightower traded to Redskins.
I love the move ... not many highlights but he's only been in the league 3 years and is used to sharing the load with other RBs.

You mentioned FA bums, so I assumed you were talking about the likes of Bowen, Cofield, etc. |
Re: Arizona RB Tim Hightower traded to Redskins.
Wow! We just got one hell of a player right there. Been watching him since his Freshman year at the University of Richmond. Too cool that he's a Skin now.

How is cofield and bowen Bums?

Ask diehard. |
Re: Arizona RB Tim Hightower traded to Redskins.
I think you get no arguement hes a back up. Hes not a starter but a guy who will touch the ball 10 times a game and come in a pass block (i.e. Portis entire value last year).
His best value will be this: he will get the ball at the goalline and SCORE, we've had a little problem with that for awhile.
That's my feeling -- I don't know if you remember a few years back when Gibbs came back and whenever we got inside the 10, we could not score to save our life. It would be like 1st and goal from the 3 and we would end up getting pushed back to the 12 and having to settle for a 25-30 yd field, goal -- Hightower gets us those TDs |
