Re: Redskins Hatters In The Media
I think we deserved alot of criticism in the past but now I think we are moving in the right direction, and the media just looks at us as the easy target. You need to see the Steve Mariucci comments on the NFL network yesterday good stuff IMO.
To me it's like weather reports.
A meterologist could say "Today's high was 42 degrees. Yesterday those numbers could drop as a cold front moves in from the midwest. Those of you on the outskirts of Warpath County may see a few snow flakes during your morning commute, but with temperatures staying just above freezing we're not expecting much more than a dusting on the ground" But most people just hear "Snow!!!" Similarly, a sports media guy could say "The Redskins have removed some of the biggest distractions by trading McNabb and Haynesworth. And with guys like Orakpo and Williams they have the foundation to be good for several years to come. However, they chose once again not to address their QB situation and now have two journeymen 30 year olds battling out for a starting spot. Unless one of them surprises us, I don't see them winning too many games this year" All we hear is "I don't see them winning"
It's going to snow today? Dang, I have all of my winter gear put away. This weather hates me. |

Haha, quick, everyone buy up all the bread and milk. |
not the media,the prophet.
I know. I didn't want to call the media Prophets. Since they are not. I am a big RUSH fan as well. That is why i asked you on the other thread about your warpath name. I am a drummer and I learned every Neil Pert song back in High School. |

Love Sheehan! Easily the best DC area radio guy. |
Re: Redskins Hatters In The Media
The latter part of this interview is downright frightening......the possibility of a Vinny return??.......Chilling!

We're at the point where Skin fans hate Cerrato more then the Cowboys. The more realistic and frightening possibility would be Snyder finding another yes-man/enabler after Allen, |

I'm mindful of the fact it's something not likely to happen. Just to hear even a hint of a possibility I found scary. |

I wonder why does Florio have the helmets of the Jets and Redskins separate from the rest of the helmets and behind him on the set? |
Re: Redskins Hatters In The Media
I haven't lived in the area for years now, but was streaming 106.7 at work the other day and B Mitch was just a complete nonsensical jerk to the point I turned it off and will now only try and stream the Junnkies in the AM if I can remeber to do it. It is sad, I thought a lot of the vendetta(sp) stuff was because of Snyder's fantasy football experiment. Now there is direction and these guys still want to flame away at every oppurtunity. Sorry I will not be adding to those Neilson (or any other) ratings numbers for these bottom feeders.
A thread about people in the media worth listening to would be great also IMO. Especially for the people removed from the area.
I totally agree with you. I sit around and hear all the bad mouthing of the team and think I'm sitting in Dallas country. There has to be a happy medium between all the negative media nannies and Larry Michael who seems to have his head so far up the Teams arse that he can't even begin to acknowledge there might be a problem. I think the Junkies are somewhat fair only because there are 4 guys who don't always agree with each other. So you get different oppinions. Mitchell is all negative. I think he'd be better served to go report for the Eagles since he does nothing but praise them. Lavar has nice things to say when he's siding with a players point of view, but the team as a whole or when talking about DS he's negative. The National media is sick. They only want to talk about the Eagles and Jets and how they are going to do so well. As Orakpo said.... I'm glad no one is talking about the Skins. Let them stay under the radar. |

Coincidence or design??......maybe it had to do with his next interview. |

He has them for all his interviews, it never changes

BTW....At 14:58 in that interview clip there's a background graphic showing the Redskins signings and trades. The last name on the list is CB Z Strief with no mention of how he was acquired. The NFL list only one player with the name Strief and he's a guard with NO. Was the graphic in error because I haven't seen or heard anything on Strief.
