Our secondary is underwhelming, to say the least. I don't know that we can hope to see any improvement over last year apart from, wait for it Tripp, significantly better play from Hall. I'm never certain of anything about Hall, except the fact he's got potential to be elite because he's shown (brief) flashes of brilliance. Seeing as how the offense hasn't had a bona fied star while Hall's been a "star" on defense, maybe the automatic attention toward Griffin has Hall preparing for his best season ever? ;)
This is the precise reason Raheem Morris was hired as defensive backs coach. The front seven played hard nosed football all year last season. But the secondary was weak. Injuries to Atogwe and Landry made it possible for reserve safeties Gomes and Doughty to start and receive playing time. Also, Josh Morgan played well all year but came on strong towards the end of last season. DeAngelo Hall did play well at times, but struggled against elite wide receivers and revealed once again that he can only play his best football when he's not covering elite receivers. Had it not been for the secondary, the defense would have finished within the top ten in the league. Hopefully the addition of Morris will assist greatly in limiting passing yards.

We finally signed a free agent o-lineman. Anyone know anything about this guy?
The Redskins also announced the signing of free agent offensive tackle James Lee. The 6-foot-4, 305-pound Lee has spent the last four seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The South Carolina State product started nine games for the Bucs in 2010. Last season, he appeared in three games for Tampa Bay, starting one.
