Re: Redskins Salary Cap Status - 2020
Given we have Haskins, McLovin, Guice, Bryce and hopefully take Young, all on rookie contracts, do we have enough cap space to splash out in FA picking up OL, TE and secondary? If we could, I can't help thinking that gives us opportunities to draft BPA all down the draft order.

We’ll have lots of cap money once they dump/trade all the old and hurt FA. Out of our top player contracts in 2019, six out of the top eight didn’t finish the season due to injury. Players like Norman, Reed, Davis, McCoy, Keenum,Richardson and even Kerrigan and Moses may be traded/dumped or renegotiated (Kerrigan). That frees up the acquisition of some new talent. I doubt they will hire any FA over 30 except at QB and maybe Penn as backup OL. I see Hooper as the prime FA target at TE. Resign Trent Williams, Scherff, Flowers, Penn. They’ll bring in FA at WR, CB and S and backup QB. Draft will be Chase Young, OT (replace Moses), TE, DB, QB (project) This team will get younger, less injured history, more talent for less money. Gone are Bruce Allen’s ridiculous contracts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Unfortunately, the free-agent pickings are very slim. Who do you want? |

Unlikely to see FA but I'd go for Henry. Hitting his prime and thanks to Rivers getting worse last season, maybe slightly undervalued. |

Hooper would be amazing.

Re: Redskins Salary Cap Status - 2020
Dunbar is on the last year of his contract. Would he take a 4/40 w 20 guaranteed? I think he might want 12 plus in AAV.
edit - thinking about it. I myself am not sold that Dunbar is a CB1. I think he is a CB2 and there are some injury propensity concerns. I would not resign Dunbar unless it was a team friendly 4/40 w most of the guaranteed money in the first 2 years. I want to see how he does in 2020 before I would commit to a legit LTD. |
Re: Redskins Salary Cap Status - 2020
Olsen had 52 receptions last year and a small contract. They need a veteran. I would take a chance.

I would actually be pretty surprised if Olsen doesn't end up with us. |
