Re: Draft grades
I think KJ Henry may end up being the most underrated and most important pick (long term) of this draft.

Re: Draft grades
ahh . . . didn't read about that. thanks. On their website they only list an assistant offensive line coach . . . see:
Yeah I heard Ron on Galdi's pod say they were waiting for the sale to be settled to officialize the Oline coach's elevation. |
Re: Draft grades
Here is my prediction. The O-line isn't going to be very good.

I think it will be better than last year after the poor Ron decision of Turner and Norwell at guard. Then we lost like 3 centers due to injury- Chase, Tyler, Schweitzer- that was devastating So the collapse in the interior Oline was detrimental to the offense. Which is kinda why I frowned passing on O’Cyrus at Guard in the second round of draft. |

I think it'll be aa little better but not good enough to win 9 games |

They were good enough to win 7 last year and if the QB play was even 15% better they would have won 9 because they would have won both Giants games. |
Re: Draft grades
My prediction:
Forbes plays way better than the media thinks and ends up with 4 ints, will there be growing pains sure, but he will show excellent promise Martin ends up being the flex by seasons end, has 2.5 sacks by the end of the season Stromberg ends up winning the starting job relatively early Henry fits into the DE rotation Rodriguez takes the backup spot from Gibson who becomes the 3rd down RB and return guy and lines up on the outside more. Also random but McLaurin eclipses 1400 yards and get 10 plus TDs for the first time in his career. |

"....Washington Best pick: Emmanuel Forbes Worst pick: Overall reaches Grade: C+ In terms of the players the Commanders drafted, they were able to check a lot of boxes in the needs column. Both the secondary and the offensive line needed reinforcements and both areas got multiple players over the draft weekend. The issue is that the Commanders ended up taking every player in the first four rounds ahead of consensus, sometimes drastically so. Trading down isn’t as simple as it sounds sometimes, as it takes someone who wants to trade up, but it’s hard to believe Washington didn’t have any opportunities to move back and acquire more picks. That said, Forbes and Martin both had some big fans in other NFL buildings, and Washington is adding two athletic defenders with a knack for big plays to a secondary that was one of the better ones in football last year. Forbes in particular is a fun player, as he returned six of his 14 career interceptions for touchdowns. The knock with him is size, as he checked in during the pre-draft process at 6-1 and 166 pounds. The NFL is becoming more open to smaller players, but having a cornerback that light on defense would make me a little nervous. You can bet offensive coordinators will be running right at him and sending their big receivers over to try and bully him until when and if he shows he’s up to the challenge....." |
Re: Draft grades
Forbes is a Bulldog. Hail State! Fuck the haters.
The only slight on him is his size. I wonder if every fucking "draft grader" that copied and pasted the same response did the same for Bryce Young? I bet 99% lauded that as a great decision. |
Re: Draft grades
My too early grade is a C. This is what you expect out of a draft. Identify and fill glaring needs and that is what they did. If you do what is expected of you that is average work.
I didn't see anything that tells me they exceeded expectations nor did they do anything that tells me they did not meet expectations. This is how grading works: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=346692349391798 |

Roullier getting cut. Guess they feel good about Gates and the rook.

Re: Draft grades
It is all a matter of opinion at this point
JP Finlay on Twitter More from @CoachMGiuliani - says that an NFC East LB coach had a 3rd round grade on Commanders 7th rounder Andre Jones. Interesting.
|

Re: Draft grades
Four different players started at Center last year, arguably the most important position on the offense besides the QB. I like Roullier, but the writing was on the wall when they signed Gates and drafted Stromberg.
