Alright listen up noobs and vets.

We're having a big problem lately with duplicate threads.

I hate to be a prick about this, but this is what it's coming down to. I'm just not going to continue to waste my time with these.

Before you post a new thread, you must do the following:

--Scan the first page of threads for similar topics. If there is already a similar topic going, STOP right there. Remove your mouse from the new thread button. Enlighten us with your knowledge in the EXISTING thread.

--If you don't find a similar topic on the first page, congratulations you've at least passed the first step and are well on your way to becoming a responsible poster, but next try a search too just to be sure. You'd be amazed to see what's already being discussed ad nauseam.

You might be asking, what's the big deal? Well, think of it this way. Think of this forum as a group of people standing around having a discussion about the game yesterday, and someone comes along and instead of waiting to hear what the group is already talking about chimes in with hey did you see the game yesterday? Kind of annoying, right?

Take responsibility as a poster. Look before you post, don't be the ass that gets thread after thread locked because you're posting duplicate threads. Unless you have breaking news, chances are it's already being discussed.

If I do notice that I am locking multiple threads from the same people, I'm going to boot those people from the forum, simple as that.

If you have any questions or need clarification feel free to ask myself or any of the mods.

He was diagnosed with cancer a few months after the playoff game with Tampa and was dead by the end of the year

Best as I can recall, he was let go and then he got sick a few months later. They didn't know he was sick when they let him go. I don't even think he knew
