I'll add fuel. The guy definitely has a turnover problem, but so does Jason Campbell. The fact is these two guys are young and young guys, even the best of them, turn the ball over. Moreover, VY is playing with arguably the worst WR corps in the league. Finally, over the past four weeks, the guy has looked pretty damn sharp for a 2nd year QB.

BTW, with regard to the Vick reference, just how did Atlanta fare in the pre-Vick era? How are they faring in the post-Vick era. Vick is an a--hole and he was overrated by many, but he definitely was a bigger playmaker than his stats would indicate. He was pretty much the sole reason why that franchise was in contention for several years.

LOL. It really cracks me up to see people all upset about this thread being alive, and even more amusing that they continue to post on it. The good news is, more and more people are stopping the eternal blind love fest with Vince Young. This kid was so hyped it's not fair to him. He won a few games, and bamboozeled the country into thinking he's the second coming of Jesus, but turns out he is nothing more than a turnover machine with sub par QB skills. Right now, he can't make up for it with his legs either.

Good news though, he had 0 fumbles today. Uh oh, bad news, he had 0 tds and 2 ints. OUCH.
Also, did you realize that Young did not complete a single pass in the 4th quarter or OT today?

So the real question here is why do people blindly love this guy? If just about any qb in the league had this line: 169 passing yards (avg per game), 7 passing tds, 16 ints, a 66.9 qb rating, everyone would be laughing that he was still a starter. The guy has only been sacked 20 times, so his numbers should be better since he gets good protection. It's a good thing the defense ranks 5th in the NFL or they'd have 3 or 4 wins at best.

2006- 8-6. 2007- 6-6. Career 14-12. ( just thought I'd point that out since people still seem to think "all he does is win".)

I have my preferences set to display like 50 posts per page, so it's only 6 pages for me, but it was doing the same thing yesterday. Would display a 6th page, but you click it and it just reloads the 5th page.

Maybe this entire thread is a doorway to some sort of alternate universe where you can never truly reach the last page and inane arguments last forever.

So if you guys want me to keep going and further prove my point with stat after stat at how bad VY is, then I guess you can keep making those kinds of statements. I had stopped my posting on this thread knowing I made point, do you really want this thread to continue?

ps- even Vick had good days...it happens. Overall, he still sucks. I didn't hear you last week when his QB rating was 38.1 for the game and had 2 ints and no tds. Odd isn't it?

Yes, they are 3-2, but as I have pointed out before, they would have lost had Scobee not got hurt in week 1 vs the Jags because the Jags were in the redzone twice and couldn't kick field goals that would have won them the game. The other two wins were vs doormats in Atlanta and New Orleans.

He's dead last in TD passes for any player with 5 or more starts.
He's 8th worst in the entire league in int's.
He is dead last in passing yards per game for any starter playing 5 or more games.
He has the 2nd worst passer rating for starters with 5 or more starts at 68.0. (Brees is only one worse but he will pass Young soon) Young ranks 39th overall in passer rating, and there are only 32 teams. WOW.
He is on pace to throw for a pitiful 2,249 yards for the season.
He is on pace to throw for a pitiful 9 tds for the season.
He is on pace to throw for a pitiful 19 int's for the season.
2249 yards, 9 tds and 19 ints makes him the worst QB this league has seen in a while.

I didn't ask for this thread to stop. As for Vick having his good days, say what you want about him being a punk, but the guy carried that franchise for years. As for not saying anything last week, you're not exactly the first guy to give VY a compliment.
