Of Snyder, VC, and Zorn, I think Zorn is JC's biggest fan. If nothing else, Zorn has a lot invested in their joint project and I think Zorn would prefer to see it through closer to the end, if there is one, rather than starting over from scratch.

We'll see tomorrow but I have no problem with being on the record saying SMOKE SMOKE SMOKE. If I have to eat crow, I'll have mine with salsa, but right now I'm thawing a steak for tomorrow instead.

Its' not Zorn cause he is a Puppet of the Front Office. He has zero imput if we take Sanchez I bet. Remember he got the job of Head Coach by lack of big name coaches wanted the job. Dan Synder maybe the next AL DAVIS.

exactly what i'm saying he should of learned from Favre because Campbell has obviously proven himself way beyond Favre ever could.... Campbell is "still learning" apparently he will be for about 10 years longer but what is he thinking crying about wanting to be traded he should leave that to the "crappier" QBs like Favre and Cutler. I mean Campbell has done so much for the Skins for them to even think about replacing him not like those other two who just weren't that good. they didn't hadn't earned the right to bitch and complain like Campbell I mean Favre only has 3 MVP's and a SB win but what is that compared to all of JC's accomplishments...... sorry don't mean to be disrespectful i'm just bored :) but seriously I was only commenting on how almost every1 was talking up Campbell like "he would never cry about being traded like Cutler did" or that "Cutler is such a baby he hears he might get replaced and he starts crying and bitching about being traded we don't want him here Campbell wouldn't do that" I just find it a lil funny that here he is crying about wanting to be traded if a QB is drafted

I really do hope Campbell finally has the year everyone has been waiting for I don't HATE Campbell I just don't know if he'll ever be a top QB no matter how much of the "he needs to play in the same system for bla bla bla bla" comes up because either your a top QB or not I think he has the potential but I get kinda sick of hearing so many excuses for his lack of production, but who knows maybe this is his year...

Ya luckily you only have to handle rumors with class and grace once because after that it's ok to bitch and cry when you hear rumors... Damn Cutler if he had only let the 1st rumor go with out crying and then he could cry all he wanted on the next rumor but still have class....

Re: Campbell will ask for trade if Redskins draft a QB

Campbell will hopefully be Our starter for sometime to come. The guy has not had one OC in place for any set time and I think He has shown alot of maturity
just going through the changes year after year in playcalling, an old, injury-prone OL, and substandard recieving core. Just give JC a chance to stop
running for His life in the pocket, and He'll do something.. I like him, but his motion quickness in pass delivery needs to speed up and I think they need to
let Him get more of a feel for his game, not be always waiting for someone to radio in a solution. If He masters those two aspects and the OL and Portis
do their do, we'll be set to kick you know what.

Re: Campbell will ask for trade if Redskins draft a QB

We know the Redskins have prematurely given up on QB's ( Brad Johnson, Trent Green, Sage Rosenfells, Stan Humphries) that have gone on to have decent careers. Oh i did forget one more QB that wore the Burgandy and Gold who played in a Super Bowl. Anyone remember Rich Gannon playing for the Redskins?
Lets give JC every chance to succeed before we kick him to the curb. I think Jason will have a huge Chip on his shoulder to prove all you haters wrong.

I do, but let's be real: It was a totally different regime when Humphries, Green, and Gannon were here. And there's no guarantee that if we had held on to Gannon for another ten years he would have led this team to the Super Bowl. He had quite a supporting cast for the Raiders.

You are so right we dont know if we kept Gannon for 10years that we would have gone to or won a Super Bowl. Thats one of the problems in Redskins nation is we cant seem to keep a QB for more than 2-3 years. Does anyone know what QB since Synder became the Owner has the most seasons as the Starter ?

So a question: which is worse (from a comical sense)-
watching Campbell try to slide, or Zorn try to bluff?

Ya know, this really boils down the whole discussion. If someone thinks Danny is gonna do whatever the **** Danny wants to do, then no other thing will fit. Even though he often has acceded to the thoughts of Vinny or whatever coach he has hired (proof of this has been given many times in many ways) some people are always gonna believe that Danny is behind the curtain like the "Great and Powerful Wizard of Oz". For those people, even if this trade doesn't happen it will not be because he listened to VC or Zorn (the "football people") but because some other team kept him from himself.
If you believe (or very much want to believe) that the 3 work together to come up with a strategy, than you are more likely to believe this is just hogwash, and that the Skins are trying to get the players they need to win the toughest division in football.

You are correct. This story about JC demanding a trade is a rumor, not a fact, and it seems to me like an unlikely rumor. Shoot, if VC is blowing smoke to trade down, he may have been the one who put these words out there.

This orig. will neva get anywhere. They have no vision as to where they wanna go except the freakin cellar. All these stupid moves just shows we are chasing our tails and eventually will get tired and fall on our faces. The person we need to replace in this orig. are the idiot owner and GM, then we can try and move forward.

yep

first of all we already drafted him in the first round and second of all nobody will offer close to a first for him

Are you serious? Campbell hasn't been quoted of anything; his agent said if Sanchez is drafted they'll be interested in seeing what other opportunities are out there. No, Campbell isn't great, but he's starter quality and why would he want to be here when he could start somewhere else?

Nope. JC's agent was not explicitly quoted. The whole "JC demands a trade" thing has no identified source. Could have been VC looking for a trade down. Could have been Castro calling from Cuba. No one knows the source. No one outside of Steve Wyche even knows that the whole thing wasn't made up, like the Raji-fails-the-drug-test story.

either Zorn or Cerrato was asked about QBs and they made the offhand comment that JC always was the starter.

Re: Campbell will ask for trade if Redskins draft a QB

The whole thing was a mindscrew obviously. I bet the whole Sanchez crap was also. Doesn't sound like we tried any real wheeling/dealing to go up the board to get him. I am glad. Although I am not sure JC is going to be our franchise guy, the team does owe it to him to give him one more shot with all the crap he has been through. On that not though I have to agree with the one previous poster in that we haven't given him the help he needs thus far. Those young WRs we have might still end up busts and of course, our line is aging.

Yes, but he's the QB for 2009, so the discussion is over. It can be picked up in midseason.
