Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
I still don't get why we're still debating this. Yeah Vinny does overhype players, but the kid had a 2nd round grade and not just by us. Time will tell whether he was worth it, but you at least have to give rops to the FO for adressing a weakness, and getting a guy who if not for his suspension would've been a 2-3 in 2010. So to get him almost a year early is huge. I just don't get how anyone can say this is a bad move.
|
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
Well it's like someone said, if the Eagles or someone else would have got him, people would be saying how he's probably going to be a great player and why can't we make moves like that.....:blah: Good move by the FO.
|
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
basically, its an opportunity for some to enjoy the kool-aid, and some to vent at the FO and Vinny. You put those two opportunities together, mix in some pre training camp blahs, and this threads page count has no bounds!

Exactly. There's nothing else to do but speculate right now and some will use that opportunity to bitch, and some to hope. |
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
Throughout the offseason we have failed to discuss one question: Should JC be the QB of the Redskins?
Ok, just kidding. 11 long days until camp! |

I hope to bitch. |

You already have. :) |
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
I think we should start a thread about how our defense is going to kick ass this year. After we're through with Romo, there won't be anything left for Jessica to fret over.
|
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
you two are crazy!
|
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
It's all Lotus.
|
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
Yup, I'm as nutty as a can of Planter's.
On another issue, should the Cowboys replace the star on their helmets with an image of Satan? |
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
Or maybe PeeWee Herman.

what about handcuffs... one on each side with the chain over the top |
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
Perfect! The Dallas Convicts!
|
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
the bengals could change their stripes to bars also
|
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
Yeah, the Bengals and Cowgirls. They're like brothers with different owners.
|
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
The Cincy Jailbirds.
|
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
on Hard Knocks next year could do the two team special
|

Who else would give Tank Johnson a home? |
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
I think both teams are involved in the work release program. It helps with overcrowding.

Some teams do a better job of coaching up their draft picks and getting them on the field. Devin Thomas/Malcomb Kelly/Fred Davis vs. DeSean Jackson, for instance;) |
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
At least Travis Henry still has a couple of options when he gets out in 3 years.

If you really believe it was coaching. I don't think they could have coached Kelly out of a bad knee. Jackson was better prepared coming out of college. |

I know he isn't trying to hijack this with a Stan Hixon reference is he. man that would add some more pages for sure. |
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
what about Vick, he could go to Dallas or Cinci next year. Amazing that the cowgirls and bungles have knocked the Raiders completely off the radar for thugs.
|
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
Didn't Hixon coach Jerry Rice? :laughing2 :yeahright
|
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
Don't forget that Zorn was a rookie last year, too. I'll bet he does a better job prepping rookies this year. Further, don't forget that our own Santana Moss did nothing as a rookie.
|
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
Yeah, I'm kinda disappointed in the Raiders. They haven't assaulted anyone lately.

Yeah, Al Davis needs to do more prison recruitment like the Cowpies and Bungles. |
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
forgetting coaches, if you can't learn from AC and Daniels, you probably aren't gonna learn.
|
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
I would really like to see how Daniels would do as a coach one day.
|
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
Yeah, I'll bet he is great.
|
Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
I've always liked Daniels. Hardworking and down to earth. Jarmon is in good hands.

If we hadn't got him the same people would be complaining we need him why didn't they go after him.[/quote] I call BS...no way I would complain if we didn't get him. I am sticking to my guns...I say we reached and ended up with a player that may not pan out. I sure hope I am wrong |

I agree with this....Daniels is one of the most under-rated Skins. I think the guy is rock solid...as long as he is healthy, he make our run defense awesome. I think Daniels is a potential coach/trainer. The guy is a stud. I hope he helps out these rookie DE's bigtime. I can see Daniels being here for 3 more years...starter this year...maybe half of next and backup thereafter...heck, he's a pretty good DT on passing downs too (at least before the injury) |

He is a run-stopping monster. Can play DT like you say, and is very good at knocking down passes. I hope the rooks realize how much they can learn from him. I think Daniels is going to have a great year if he stays healthy. Him and AH bring a lot of beef! |

It highlights the dubious history of the supplemental draft. However, it did also say that Jarmon would've most likely gone in the second round in 2010. |

So it would seem that we got good value for the pick. |
